“Sailor Mouth” is one of my favorite episodes of SpongeBob! The VA’s insisted on saying actual swear words while recording their lines for the episode, which did happen. But ofc, the swear words were censored with dolphin noises, which was actually funny imo.
I really like how the Sailor Mouth episode teaches kids to not swear, and how they use dolphin noises as censor beeps. It’s actually a pretty good lesson to teach kids in my opinion.
The only reason “swear words” are considered “bad” goes back to the Medieval England when the ruling Norman elites thought common Anglo-Saxon words such as fuck, shit, and many others were “vulgar” and “uncivilized.”
Too bad the parent patrol doesnt agree. Not only did a BUNCH of parents get mad at the episode for making kids swear, they even went as far to say that this episode is the reason the genre of swearing in cartoons exist
"I'm with Stupid" is definitely a somewhat sour taste of the golden era of Spongebob season 1-3 but it's still good and funny Spongebob truly didn't deserve that for a long time I legit thought that when making marble artwork you just need a small tap and hope it goes well like it's a lottery ticket or something
2:45 Glad to see this scene back. The TV edit when that scene got cut was so jarring. "Gee. This is harder then I thought." (cut) "I can feel those juices pumping now!"
Sailor Mouth is such a fun episode to watch, especially when you're older and have some idea of what they're actually saying. It's also fun to try and read the lips or listen to the syllables and guess which word they're saying. Fun Fact: In a TV documentary celebrating SpongeBob's tenth anniversary, Chris Pine makes a cameo and says "Sailor Mouth" is the best episode of SpongeBob ever.
The procrastination episode is relatable as hell. 😂 I've been in that situation a bit, especially during English class. I'm in college (might finish by winter next year), and English classes are hard for me because I am not a creative writer, and the stress leads to procrastination. Thankfully, I managed to control the procrastination. The Sailor Mouth episode cracked me up when Mr. Krabs stubbed his foot. I'm a clumsy person, so I've bumped into stuff a lot and hit my elbows, knees, and toes as a result, causing me to swear like Mr. Krabs did.
Ngl, Patrick was being mean spirited and unfair to SpongeBob after they agreed on the whole “SpongeBob being dumb to make Patrick seem smarter for his parents.” He can be a real jerk sometimes.
I try to attribute it to patrick just being dumb and having the memory of a goldfish but I agree it does feel pretty mean-spirited, still not much worse than the stuff they do to squidward sometimes so I don't feel too bad tbh.
The sailor mouth episode has gotten a ton of controversy, but I don’t think it deserves it because the episode is trying to teach us not to be foul mouthed.

Because literally after airing, the scenes of Spongebob looking out to see the carnival and Patrick lotioning up Sandy is removed as well as the car crash. I always thought I ignored it when younger due to the sudden removal but when watching the episode on a early DVD set, the scene was always there
12:41 These Spongebob episodes are really deeper than you think sometimes. Like, Patrick knew at first that he had an agreement with Spongebob where he would pretend to be dumb to make Patrick look smarter by comparison. But Patrick got so into it that he literally forgot about the plan and began thinking spongebob really was dumb, without realizing it himself. But that also just shows that patrick is still just as dumb as ever. He literally forgot the plan while the plan was being executed.

But it's not the first time, Spongebob has referenced this song multiple times in the history and it wasn't until the episode "Patrick the horse" that this song officially played there! I LOVE THIS SONG!!
As kids we wonder why those random sounds including the dolphin sound in “Sailor Mouth” are considered bad words. As adults we now know that those random sounds are just references to the bleeping sound we hear in reality shows cause they were using cus words
I’m also a writer (tho not officially yet. I mean I’m writing a book and working on it) and I sadly have a problem with procrastination. I’m pretty sure they even used his name within the first minute or so that they were on screen.
You can tell that “Procrastination” is from like the early 2000s based on the fact that he’s writing his super-long essay on paper. Not that i never had to do that, but it was really around middle school that i had to start writing papers more regularly, and i remember mostly having to type them. There was the occasional essay that needed to be written out though, which i hated doing because I had terrible handwriting and always worried no one would be able to read what i wrote, and more importantly, because it took so much longer to write than a typed-out essay. Not to mention, there’s no word count when writing out a paper by hand so you have to individually count out each word being written.

When mr.krabs, spongebob, and patrick curses, it had me dying laughing in tears
You can tell that “Procrastination” is from like the early 2000s based on the fact that he’s writing his super-long essay on paper.
Not that i never had to do that, but it was really around middle school that i had to start writing papers more regularly, and i remember mostly having to type them. There was the occasional essay that needed to be written out though, which i hated doing because I had terrible handwriting and always worried no one would be able to read what i wrote, and more importantly, because it took so much longer to write than a typed-out essay. Not to mention, there’s no word count when writing out a paper by hand so you have to individually count out each word being written.
Killer content like always this is very nostalgic for me i watched a ton of spongebob when i was a kid now turning 30 im still watching 😂
Cody: Patrick, you're dumb
You just now noticed 😂
Fun fact, the song that plays in the title card in seller mouth is called selling over the dogger bank
Squidward: Aren't there only seven words?
the essay episode explains exactly why spongebob will never learn to drive
Apparently, some uncensored lines from this episode got leaked but its uncertain if these are real or not
Sailor Mouth is a classic for me.
I hope your going to continue with the seasons of SpongeBob keep up the good work Cody and Nick
Squidward smells…..GOOD 😂
I think we all know the episode Procrastination is amazing and way too relatable and realistic
15:33 did you kiss your mother with that mouth 🤣🤣
I genuinely believe the theory that Squidward wrote the cuss word on the dumpster
What you said Cody at 1:28 I love that vibe 🤣💕🎉🎊, Also I remember the "I'm With Stupid" episode being so iconic and has to be my favorite Patrick Star episode ever made 🤣
Let’s settle the debate: Who is more artistic, SpongeBob or Squidward?
SpongeBob.
SpongeBob
That "Artist Unknown" Was My Most Favorite Cuz Of The Cool Art.
I've been 🐬 waiting for this 🐬 reaction episode. It's so 🐬 funny!
I don’t understand why you laugh after SpongeBob did his thing but I love it it’s so funny 23:57
We all were waiting for this episode
The dolphin noise I am assuming is the F word
19:46 I thought the same thing when I was younger
19:59 how do they know what the bad words are
If you think about it there's a very logical reason as to why everyone says Squidward's art is terrible even though most of his work is actually very realistic and really not that bad. He only paints himself, and he's ugly
4:18 Same
17:29 They're missing the bar of soap.
19:00 I've heard SpongeBob is 37 this year.
30:17 I like your pup snuggling on the chair.
