Both my wife and I have played this, and it truly is amazingly fun! I just hope that their division being put up for sale does not end up hurting all that American Pinball has accomplished. Though it isn't perfect, I would love to own a GTF in the future.

I played this at Pintastic near Boston Massachusetts in 2023. Wow, it was way better than I thought it would be. I really enjoyed it.
I have played this game, and it is fun, fast, and the bass on the tank is awesome. You get a lot for your money with GTF. The shots are smooth, and the colors on the game are really cool. I think this game is a sleeper...I really don't think there is anything like this now of days...
I hope i run into one in a location someday. Looks like a really good game.
It does look a lot of fun. The theme is as wacky as it gets, which is no bad thing, for my money. The graphics put me in my of Forbidden Planet, which I also think would be a great theme for a commercial pinball machine (I think there may be a home-brew out there).
Gonzo, really appreciate your videos and everything you do for the British pinball community. Great to have a channel that can rival the yanks for pinball coverage and having Phil supply these games for us to all see is tip top. But please could you use a tripod for game covering? Understand these vids are slightly of the cuff and there isn't much you can do at events. A quick fly of the playfield is great to see everything but it is making me dizzy trying to keep up for 20mins.
Certainly don't want to come across as negative mate just some constructive feedback so hope you don't mind

I did say at the start of the video that it would be a bit crap and it was a quick video.
I will produce some with the tripod but I use three cameras which takes quite a few hours to film, edit, render and upload. Truth of the matter is I don't have the time and If I'd have done so this video wouldn't have seen the light of day.
I will produce a static version mate, but my work videos have to come first. I'm trying to produce as much pinball content as possible but something has to give.

It's a great time for us to be pinball fans, but maybe not a great time to be working at American Pinball. Word on the street is Aimtron (the owner of AP) is looking for someone to buy AP. It's too bad because this game looks great and I love that somebody was making machines with original themes!
Great video, first time I’ve seen any decent gameplay of this machine. Got to admit, it looks fantastic, theme, music, shots, artwork, all spot on. If had the funds, I’d definitely have one, in fact I’ll say that among all the pins available at present, I think this machine is where the smart money is, can see it being rare, and desirable in a few years time.

Sounds like a motor or gear is jamming with that odd machine-gunning sound. Better have a look at that and see where it's coming from. Mine doesn't do that.

Well, I spoke too soon. Went back and revisited it tonight and after the game was over the tank was having issues leveling (opto issue?) and motor started making that grinding sound. Rebooted and everything was fine… for now 🤷🏻♂️
I've played this a bunch on location, was super excited for the theme and wanted to like it. Like you my fav pins are simple, straight-forward story games. My biggest problem with this game is the layout: giant standup targets in the middle of the playfield?! Had they been drop targets that opened up to something would've been a different story. Second biggest problem is the story doesn't come through, for me anyway. It's all good to be able to sum up a story in 10 seconds, but if you don't feel that story while you're playing then it doesn't work. Medieval Madness, Monster Bash, Champion Pub, even modern games like Foo Fighters and Godzilla, they pull you in. This is something they could fix with code, maybe they will but seems unlikely at this point.
I don't mean to be overly harsh on this game, I was just really looking forward to this one. Told my distributor to hold one for me but then I saw the reveal and backed out. A lot of folks must have done the same based on AP's current status. Wishing them the best.
That's not harsh mate, just a genuine opinion on the game.

Played it at Cal Extreme and thought it was pretty cool. But I like anything weird and goofy. And yes I could do better 3D prints on my crappy printer. Yea that's one of the first things I noticed after pushing the start button.

Friend if mine git a GTF about two months ago and its been issue after issue and according to him zero customer service from AP. He’s got his distro helping at the moment trying to get AP in the mix to help. Bummer

Yeah there is a plethora of new pinball machines and companies popping up but this niche market which is pinball is completely saturated. People (due to inflation) got less and less means to buy new machines whereas their prices have never been so high. Distributors, especially in the US start to have trouble selling as many machines as before and their stock of unsold boxes is piling. This situation cannot last forever as the pie won't be big enough for everyone to take a bite. It's been strongly rumoured lately (Jason Knapp news) that American Pinball company is for sale and if this is indeed the case , then we can expect other small non profitable companies to have the same fate pretty soon and fall down 😒

This game just never had any appeal to me. Mainly because of the silly tank that takes up about 40% of the playfield realestate, that when you hit it, it comes back at you SDTM at the speed of light.
I'm getting better at avoiding them actually but it is dangerous.
Once in a while a pinball machine comes out that is ass. And people for whatever reason refuse to admit that it's ass. Every excuse will be made in the book to defend it. For whatever reason which I never understand. This is that game. It's just awful in every way. There's no defending it

Well here in the states the sales prove me right. I have a few close friend distributors that have told me that game has not sold. AT ALL. Like they literally can't give them away. So I would say the public is on my side.
But I understand your position. You get games for free from Pinball heaven so if you say anything negative about them he will cut you off. I get it. It's in your best interest to say positive things
AP is done. Fix destroyed the company. Why he was ever put in charge is beyond me. Can’t believe Nordman milked a paycheck for three years for GTF. What a joke.
