    Hey Brad, I'd love to see you give the MacDev XTS Prime a thorough review like this. I have one and it feels like a great cross between an CS2 and a Luxe. It feels very well made and high performance, while also being simple. Of course there is also the XDR which could use a review as well!

    • @PaintballRuinedMyLife

    I'm absolutely in love with my very very lightly used Adrenaline Shocker as I couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger for an Adrenaline LUXE (I still have my Adrenalin Impulse I bought in 2003). I use my Shocker which is in the Baba Yaga colorway in both Mechanical and Electric and have gotten my swap between the two down to about 15 minutes. My buddy bought an AMP and for his birthday I bought him the Adrenaline Luxe bolt for an upgrade for his Shocker AMP and it made his AMP shoot absolute money. You should actually swap the Adrenaline luxe bolt onto the Shocker AMP and do a shot comparison to get another video out of everything.

  • @virtue946
    @virtue946 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I feel like they keep putting the speaker in just because it’s a luxe. It’s just their thing. But with that said everyone I know that has gotten a luxe for the first time keeps it on for the first day as a novelty then gets annoyed and turns it off halfway through.
    However, if you could customize it (within the board and not on a computer) and have it only read the battery percentage and maybe the firing mode that would be perfect in my opinion and I would leave that on

    Nice review. I agree, these things just feel so satisfying to shoot compared to my other markers. I hear you on the grips, but my experience with the PE grips has not been great either though. Of the 4 I've had, 3 have broken right in the middle at the hard plastic. 2 of these are emeks, so this is with very, very little interaction with the grips. Still usable, just annoying.

  • @itsjustnate08
    @itsjustnate08 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Personally, I've never been a fan of the Luxe. I always felt the shot quality wasn't all that different than other high end, or even mid range, guns on the market. Maybe they have some "quality of life" features that are cool, but unnecessary at the end of the day. I used to own an HK RSX and I shot it side my side with an ICE...couldn't tell a difference. Same tank, same output, same everything. I'm not saying they're bad guns, they're obviously great. Just that once you start getting into the roughly $700+ price range, you can't really go wrong. And dropping that kinda cash on a Luxe is the paintball equivalent of buying a Gucci bag. It's cool to have, but....is it really that much better than say a used XLS or DSR? Just my thoughts.

    as a "restarter" or newbie, after a 14 year paintball abstinence, isn't Dye among the "top players" anymore? i remember back in the day you either had an EGO, an Angel One or a Dye Matrix, those were the top. is the M3+ of todays offerings not competing among this tier of markers?

    • @andrewp9876543210
      @andrewp9876543210 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dye is very much a top player but more so with middle tier markers rather than the high end markers. The high end markers are dominated by the CS2, TM40’s, Geo 4 and LV’s. Planet Eclipse has become what Dye used to be. Personally I feel like Dye rules the middle tier market. I’ve shot AMPs, 170r’s, Luxe Ice, and the DSR and DSR+. I prefer the shot of the DSR+ over all of them. For the sub 1000 dollar price range you can’t beat the DSR+. To answer your question the M3+ doesn’t compete very well with the highest tier markers. But Dyes other offerings make up for it however.

    I personally don’t like that they use the gamma core. First of all it is a copy from PE. Secondly I felt what made the luxe’s unique was there incredibly soft shot. My favorite luxe is the ice because it did what it the best at in one particular area, and that was getting the softest shot possible. I don’t want the luxe to change its shot to become more reliable. I want them to keep doing what’s working and make improvements. I rather have a fast and poppy shot. But if I want that I’ll use a force, cs2, lv, etc. great review brad. Keep up the great work!

    • @ydna
      @ydna 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Despite what anybody says, the reason they switched was for simplicity. It was the same deal with the Shocker RSX when it was introduced - they change the design so it can be operated with a drastically cheaper solenoid valve. I don't knock them for it (and I agree with you about preferring the bi-directional shocker/luxe bolt), I just wish people would stop thinking it was for some vague """performance""" aspect when in reality it's just money.
