after hearing katie's story, the cop asked katie's father what to do next. after a while, he made his decision.
"take her away." katie's father said. "the choice is final."
"what?! no! you cant do that!" Katie yelled In fear.
"I can! katie, even though I see what you're trying to do to get my attention, that doesnt mean that you have a license to steal!" katie's father said. but as he displines his daughter, a criminal, with a knife, sneaks up to katie's father and is about to rob him his money. but he doesnt take notice. "so don't think you can use your sob stories to convince me to get you out. you deserve jail time. you deserve punishment, and at the end of the day, you deserve-"
katie takes sight of the criminal. knowing that the criminal is about to go for the stab, she yelled out... "father, look out!"
Katie, while handcuffed, uses her body to bump away her father, and then, at the same time, the criminal plunges his knife, and then...
STAB! the criminal's knife plunges towards katie's chest. At the same time, the cop was able to tase down the criminal with his taser, and take him back to the cop car while the criminal is unconscious from the taser's zap, but even then, it was too late to undo the damage - as katie's father gets up, he looks at what katie did. the good news: she saved his life. the bad news: she took the stab for him, and is now wounded from the chest stab.
Katie's father runs towards his daughter, as he pleads... "Katie? Are you alright? Can you hear me?"
He notices the stab wound on her chest. Taking sight of it, he yells... "HELP! MY DAUGHTER'S BEEN STABBED! SOMEONE CALL 911..."
fade to black. hours later, we fade back to see katie's father at the corridors of the hospital, while anxious. A doctor comes out of the operating room.
"doctor, is my daughter alright?" katie's father said.
"sir, i really wish i don't want to say this... but..." the doctor said, with a sigh, and it didn't took long for katie's father to realize what he's trying to say...
as it turns out, the stab that katie took ended up being a fatal stab, and the doctors arent able to save her in time. and as a result, she is no longer among the living.
he kneels, with his head on the ground and both of his hands on his head, and the video ends with him starting to cry as he mourns the loss of her daughter that he now regrets not giving attention in the past.

Yup, we've probably all known someone whose parents gave them everything they could ever want -- except attention. One of my cousins had a friend like that. Fortunately, my aunt and uncle had big hearts and welcomed him into their home pretty much anytime, so as far as I know, he turned out ok and didn't resort to the sorts of acting out that the daughter does in this video.

- The reason Katie was doing such stunts like shoplifting is because she wants to get her dad's attention as it seems like she feels so left out without him around so much of the time and wishes for her dad to spend more time with her than him being in work. I'm not justifying her behavior but her reason of doing this was to seek validation and attention from her dad, it wasn’t for ill-intentions but she should have had another way of getting her dad's attention. The dad has every right to be upset with her but he should be aware of his daughter's feelings, wants, and needs, and that all she wanted was for him to spend more time with her. Her well-being should be his priority.
