I met my husband in 8th grade. We dated for 3 1/2 years, got married, and are still married 44 years later. He is the most amazing man I have ever met!
The summer before my senior year of high school I met my husband who was heading off to his junior year of college. We dated during the next year whenever he was back in town. We have now been married 41 years. Tonight we just arrived at our youngest daughter's home where we will be staying with our three very young grandchildren for 6 days while their parents go on an adult vacation with friends. Life is great when you share your life with your best friend.
I’ve known my husband and his family all of my life, even though we never lived close. We started dating in high school. We’ve been married for over 32 1/2 years! 💕 This layout is gorgeous, and the pictures work perfectly!
This is a beautiful layout. I met my husband when I was a sophomore. We have been married for almost 32 1/2 years. (I saw someone else has been married the same amount of time. Going strong. He is my best friend.
This is beautiful. I love how you show your tips on adding details. I knew Randy 2 weeks when he proposed when we were riding quads on Sand Mountain. My reply, What took you so long I bought a dress last Wednesday. Wedding 3 months later. Dec 6th will be 36 years! Thank you for a gorgeous layout.
So beautiful as always Erin. Love the colors I met my husband then I was a junior in high school, and we marrried at 18 and 21 shortly after I graduated. We have been married for 66 years and still in love!
Thank you Nori. There have been many high school sweethearts stories shared in the comments but I think you win the longest run at 66 years. That is truly wonderful!
I like the traditional Christmas colors as well and this layout is beautiful! I can't tell you how many times I have put adhesive on the wrong side of my paper!! My husband and I are high school sweethearts even though we went to rival schools!! We met through a mutual friend at the age of 15, married at 25 and celebrated 38 years of marriage in August.
The adhesive struggles are real! 😂 I absolutely love that you and your husband went to rival schools, that makes your high school sweetheart story even better.
My husband and I started dating my Freshman year (his sophomore year) and have been married for 29 years. ❤️ Love the changes you made to this layout and I LOVE the "bloopers" at the end!
Beautiful pictures. Luv your work. My husband and i are high school sweethearts too. Dated at late 13 and 14, married at 19 and 20 and are now on year 47 of marriage.
Thank you Ella, I think they are a lovely couple too. I have to laugh though, sometimes people think they are brother and sister because their coloring is so similar.
Erin, This paper is gorgeous and I always do a double page for each of my grandchildren’s scrapbook…and we just became grandparents again November 3rd…baby girl! So excited to get this and do a double page for each of them.
My husband and I are high school sweethearts. Started dating when I was a junior and he was a senior. We just celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary June 22.
Gorgeous layout Erin. I love your process videos, you make it all seem so easy. Love all your tips and your explanations of how to achieve the best results.
I married my high school sweetheart, after we both had been previously married to other people. We’ve now been married to each other for 20 years this year. We figure we just weren’t meant to have children together. As we both had 2 children with our previous spouses. Everyone is now grown and flown the nest.👍🏻
I love it, another high school sweetheart story! I’d say you were definitely meant to be especially because you were both married before and came back to each other.
We didn’t go to the same high school. He had graduated the year before we met. I was 15, he was 19. He proposed on our 3rd date. He encouraged me to finish high school, and continue on to nursing school. So we dated 6 years and have been married for 46. When you know, you just know! And we met at the same roller skating rink where my parents met!❤
Wow that is a great story! How neat to have met at the same place your parents met. Encouraging you to finish high school shows he was definitely a keeper from the start.
My husband and I met when I was a freshman in high school and he was a sophomore, we got married right after I graduated and we are still going strong 32 years later.
Such a beautiful layout, Erin! You do a great job at explaining how everything goes together and why you may choose to do something a little differently. Thank you!

I met my husband in 1986 we became a couple in 1987, and we were high school sweethearts, and we got married in 1988 and still going strong 34 years later.
Really like your layout. I am not married... I used to work in schools though, and a young couple who have been together since grade 8 or so just got married. It can happen. And my cousin's daughter just got engaged to her high school sweetheart. I do worry about scrapbooking too many of the pics with the girlfriend/boyfriend though - I wonder what to do if they break up.
I definitely do not add the girlfriend to the family albums right away because you are right and just never know. After three years I feel like they definitely become a part of family history and even if they part ways and take different paths they are still part of the story.
@@CraftyConceptswithErin Thank you for answering; I should have said that I have a family event I want to scrap that includes a picture of my brother with an ex he dated long term, though she ended up not being 'The One,' and because of the story I really want to include it (he isn't in any other pics, and it's a shot in a way that would make cropping her out difficult).
Thank goodness I didn't marry my high school sweetheart 😂 I love all the details and touches! That Gold Paint Marker definitely brings in an elegant touch ❤️
QUESTION hi Erin - love this layout, I've bookmarked it, will definitely do this one. I'm trying to work out what the circular paper cut you used for the background is, and where I might get it. Does this particular kind of embellishment have a generic 'name' or 'type' I can do a broader search for?
Hi Kerri, I am so glad you like the layout. All the elements I’ve used are from the Christmas Story scrapbooking workshop including the circles. I made a few changes but kept to the kit aside from my title. You can see the kit here erinjacobson.closetomyheart.com/retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=17350
Love the layout! I love all high school sweetheart stories… but thank goodness I did not marry my high school sweetheart. I am grateful for the man who holds my heart … happily married for 25 soon to be 26 years.
Hello Carrie, life has a funny way of mixing up our plans doesn't it? I am sure you wouldn't trade a thing though having your three teenagers. Although having teenagers myself, sometimes you want to trade them in 😂

Me too. We got married in May 1990. LIfe is good with my best friend. Glad it is for you too.
That is amazing! Did you live close to each other when you started dating in high school?
@@CraftyConceptswithErin no, we were 3 hours apart while dating and even while we were engaged and planning a wedding.
I married my high school sweetheart! 42 years and I wouldn’t have changed a thing. He is my soulmate and forever love!❤

Beautiful layout with the gold accent and a lovely story to document for your son.

You are too funny. I love the bleeps at the end of some of your videos. Beautiful layout.
Lol, I was seriously struggling to line that die up! I am so glad you enjoyed the layout and my mishaps 😂
Erin, thank you soooo much for showing how you die cutted your stamp! I think it was my request. I appreciate ya’! 😀👍
No problem! I hope it was helpful 😊

Cute ideas

gorgeous!
Thank you Gail! All the gold shininess has me ready for the holidays 😃
PS:I take a sharpie and mark the dies on the top. 😉 and sometimes on the top of the stamp (like the flowers that match but aren't visible easily.

Great holiday layout, Erin. I do like that gold pen to add the glitter. Once again you’ve taken a concept and made
it your own!
