As a person who is living in Ranchi, Capital of Jharkhand for more than 14 years. The rate of development is so low here. #sundaysoch I am not an expert neither in finance nor in Islam but from what I have read and understood, first Interest is an amount earned without any risk and hard work. Interest can create an exploitative system, particularly for the poor leading to a system where rich becoming more rich and poor becoming more poor, you have mentioned about the same in the last sunday show(22 sep). One might say with this logic the entire banking system is flawed because it is flawed(there are many videos/articles on this BTW). Do I have an alternative banking system which is in follows Islamic principles(halal) , I honestly can't think of it. personally I believe we can't create a system where people can be greedy and earn as much money as they while simultaneously leading money on interest. Even if best of the minds especially economist create a system on paper which is happy case everyone still it will never be implemented because the existing powerful don't want to lose it. It's just the sad reality and I can only pray for not to get in a situation of taking a loan.

Hi Sarthak, though I'm Hindu, you seem to have unknowingly stumbled on the fact that banking is very different in Islam. You may research islamic or Sharia banking which is prominent in the Middle East (even India tried to take part of took interest in it) and you may enlightened your viewers. I'm not fully sure how it works, I think it takes some part in profits or some other means but Islamic banks don't charge or give interest. They are also quite big and not just a small venture for rigid religious people. In history even Christians were very against usuary or interest (which is why Jews managed money matters) though that position changed with modernisation/capitalism.

Now why muslim do open their bank account? - they are allowed to open bank account in Shariah complained banks As in India there are very few institutions that are Shariah compliance So what muslim do is - they donate the interest. Interest can create an exploitative system, particularly for the poor leading to a system where rich becoming more rich and poor becoming more poor, you have mentioned about the same in the last sunday show(22 sep). One might say with this logic the entire banking system is flawed because it is flawed(there are many videos/articles on this BTW). Do I have an alternative banking system which is in follows Islamic principles(halal) , I honestly can't think of it. personally I believe we can't create a system where people can be greedy and earn as much money as they while simultaneously leading money on interest. Even if best of the minds especially economist create a system on paper which is happy case everyone still it will never be implemented because the existing powerful don't want to lose it. Hi Sarthak, though I'm Hindu, you seem to have unknowingly stumbled on the fact that banking is very different in Islam. You may research islamic or Sharia banking which is prominent in the Middle East (even India tried to take part of took interest in it) and you may enlightened your viewers.
I'm not fully sure how it works, I think it takes some part in profits or some other means but Islamic banks don't charge or give interest. They are also quite big and not just a small venture for rigid religious people.
In history even Christians were very against usuary or interest (which is why Jews managed money matters) though that position changed with modernisation/capitalism.
Hello Sarthak, regarding Credit card according to Sharia law A Muslim should do the best he can. So, FD where money is growing by interest is Haram. We can keep our money in bank account because of safety but the interest comes should be given as charity.

One thing to reconfirm you that if anyone have little islamic knowledge - Interest-based transactions are prohibited in Islamic finance, as they are considered exploitative and unethical.
This is because the lender benefits while the borrower is disadvantaged.
Now why muslim do open their bank account?
- they are allowed to open bank account in Shariah complained banks
As in India there are very few institutions that are Shariah compliance
So what muslim do is - they donate the interest.
