Thank you Sally and Travis for posting this, it's a fabulous demo and Sally includes so much verbal tidbits, great to learn from. Would recommend using a solar flare filter on any future videos!
This is the style I learned years ago from scientific glassblowing books. I'm just getting back into this after several years hiatus, plus I've acquired a used glassblowing lathe to play with in the meantime.
Can anything be done with glass containers from stores? Or do you need special glass for hand working? Can anything be done to make glass more resistant to cracking? I'd like to see you make a condenser 🙂👍 I remember we had a course in glass making as part of chemistry in college, long time ago. I'd like to relearn it and more. Chemists used to have to make much of their own glassware. Anyway, this is really cool, a real art 🙂👍
Those seals are bad. Good practice though! Use the small tight flame with all youre oxy pressure and just 4-6 hot flame and make thos connections liquid at each seam including that tube seal. A hand torch is extremely useful for seals and look into useing bridges to perfect the glass seal. I love it.❤

That torch is amazing
Love watching scientific glassblowers at work. One of the most challenging and beautiful of the fabrication arts.
This is AMAZING content, it's so hard to find torchwork educational videos that are useful stuff that isn't for smoking weed, please share more!
This is a great demo! Teapot + bonus lathe work. Thanks!
