Thanks Jay! Good to see you on here. Was there any issues with the video in your opinion? I am still working on the new software. One person said to delete the music and another said to raise the volume a bit.
Hi guys , good to see you out again and you both had a good day plenty of interesting finds and i would be giving that overhang and the surrounding area a good going over a great place to shelter for probably hundreds of years , great video enjoyed it best wishes Rob .
Hey Rob, always good to see you here! I scoured that overhang area for as much as I could without digging too deep. It may even have Native items underneath. By the way, I have been trying to convince Chad to take a trip to the UK with me. I traced my family back to one of my great grandfathers, Earl of Derby, William II de Ferrers. Would you guys want to meet? I believe Derby is somewhat close to you.
@@bluecreekdetectors Hi sounds like you have a good heritage over here in the uk and let me know if you make it over and if i am not on holiday maybe we could meet up Derby is about 50 miles from where i live 👍👍
It’s nice y’all are back! I agree with Steve that the item @ 7:26 was from a filing cabinet. The hame handle @ 21:15 reminded me of the old brass finials found on old iron beds of the turn of the last century. It was nice seeing this property and that amazing old cut stone chimney. Thanks for taking us along- happy hunting and happy holidays!
Happy holidays to you as well! Thanks for the IDs. I can see that could be a bed finial. We tried detecting around that chimney but it was to recently torn down. I hope to get access to the full mill site for the full length documentary as this is a big historical place for elk river history.
@jefflawrentz1624 ooo sorry, i meant the chimney is still standing, but the house* around it was somewhat recently torn down so there was still a lot of debris. The chimney is in wonderful condition. Those vines make it look like a tree trunk lol
Thank you and welcome to the channel! We have a lot of adventures. This video was a test for the new software I edit with. Wv is a beautiful state for sure. We hope you have a Merry Christmas!
Recently found this channel and I absolutely love it I’m from southern wv and after years of interest finally got into this hobby civil war battle fields and stuff like that is awesome but watching people near my area dig in landscapes just like me really fans my flame to keep going I’ve found old maps of the coal camp I grew up in and plan to start hunting the old homesteads keep up the great work guys thank you and happy hunting
Thank you! Man I do enjoy diggin and old coal camp. I view finding scrip more valuable than silver coins. Just my opinion. Good luck out there! We plan to make it down that way at some point, might have to meet up with you and do an interview or something. We love the stories of the coal camps!
@@bluecreekdetectorsabsolutely I’d help anyway I could and I completely agree about the script that entire situation is a part of our history that unfortunately is already forgotten by so many
Yeheah! My first one. Everyone else has found them. I was surprised it did not have a name on it though. Great to see you on here! Was there any issues with the video? One person said to delete the music and another the volume was low.
Some of those old hollers are spooky and you always feel like someone is watching you off in a distant. Nice looking permission. That area looks like it’s loaded with relics hiding in the ground. Like you said the ground is a funny thing. You can walk an area many times and find something each time.
Welcome back men, good seeing a video again! Beautiful scenery, that small white bullet, looked to me as a 36 cal. bullet, used during the civil war. That big overhang, I would be looking for native american artifacts for sure. Nice buckles also! Might want to bump up the volume! God Bless all and a Merry Christmas if I don't get to see you. (Glen). WV.
Thanks Glen! Good to see you as well. I will work on the volume. We have new editing software that will take some more learning. Merry Christmas to you as well!
Thanks you! I don't like the music either. It is free from TH-cam. We do intend to record more appropriate music soon as Chad and I are bother long time musicians. Could you give me an example of what you would like to see in the future? Have a good day!
Welcome back. Glad you guys are out doing videos. Keep up the great work guys. Till next time . See ya lol

Awesome video. That unidentified item Chad found is a card catalog drawer pull. Cards were organized in accordance with the Dewey Decimal System.
That's what I think it is also.
Me too. I was a teacher and used one. Used one in jr high, sr high and college.😊
Love watching you guys.
Yeah! I thought the same! It was in the creek a while I think. Good to see you on here Steve! We need to have that interview soon.

That really is a beautiful gorge. Very nice place to detect and some great finds, too. Enjoyed the video. Good to have you guys back!
Thanks Doc! That gorge is super interesting. There's more out there, just have to get permissions for the surrounding property too.
I just found your channel. What a beautiful part of the country you are in! Enjoying your video.
