Lost my dad in 1991 and my mom in 2002.....That pain never really goes away . The challenge is to keep living a life they would be proud of.
My dad's been gone almost seven years, and the pain never goes away, but it "seasons" over time. I still have moments where I want to pick up the phone or email him about something and get that pang of loss, but I'm more able to focus on the blessing of having him in my life as long as I did, rather than dwelling on the loss. I hope it'll be the same for you -- take time to mourn and miss him, but focus on the blessings more than anything else.
Justin it's been 21 years since my dad died at 55. I was 28 and working full time as a teacher. I had the honour of helping nursing him at night and the weekends for the last few years of his life with the loving help of my husband. I still can't look at a picture of him without crying but boy the stories I tell my children!! They never meet him but are so proud. Rebecca was so right in phrase 'it's still underneath" and always will be. That's why families are families and traditions pass on💕 love from Scotland 🏴
Those chickens have no idea how much better they have it than most yard birds. Jonah is a good farmer. He will be an awesome farmer if he chooses to continue with it. All of your kids seem to have that farm gene, even Mr Brown when he can find his shoes. Wishing the best for all of you.

Yes.
Love the chicken high tunnel. Do you think you'll have any issues mineral-wise for the tomatoes and cucumbers? I'd hate to see that crop suffer from blossom end rot and the like.
