    I had a request for lasagna while camping. I didn't want to use my camper oven, due to uneven heat issues in those things. Instead, I used my ASMOKE 300. Might of been the best Lasagna I ever made. Used the no boil lasagna noodles, Italian sausage, marinara sauce, with Ricotta cheese mixed with 1 egg. Ran it on 375 for 20 minutes, then covered it for another 40 minutes. Only complaint was the ASMOKE 300 lid was to short for the lid, so I used aluminum foil.
    Don't be afraid to bake on those things!

      Great info. This new ASMOKE has the taller lid, so have to give that a try.

    Yep. Perfect idea. Got two smaller chucks in freezer. Now I know what I'm doing with one of them anyway. That asmoke is a pretty cool smoker.

      @@Armadillopepper I love it up here. The heat isn't bad, people are awesome nice. Tourism is a season in itself, and it's crazy crowded haha
      The best part. It's a 2A supporting state. I feel like this is what the rest of America should be like. Good people, not much crime, and freedoms. First time in my life I was able to buy fireworks for independence day. I put a show on for my nephews. 140 artillery mortars, 3 hours of explosions. They love the fourth now

    Delicious! Thanks for the recipe. Great and different way to do a chuck and comes out perfect everytime. Bourbon in the smoker definitely adds flavor.

    Now that's me, fantastic job on that chuck roast, I like a little coffee in the rub especially for beef and like you say the coffee don't stand out it just adds a little depth to the flavor profile. Great video, I will give this a try for sure. Take care my friend!

    Going to give every one a tip! On how to tenderize a steak, a roast any thing. SIMPLE ~ Just a long salad fork ! That it. Take the fork and poke it on both sides real good. Now it tenderized ~THAT IT FOLKS

    • @maddawgnoll
      @maddawgnoll 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Don't poke holes like that. Good way to dry out a steak. I used to do that all the time. It does tenderize, but it's just not as juicy. Well my experiences anyway.

    • @426superbee4
      @426superbee4 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@maddawgnoll I guess it could dry it out. If you take to much fat away. But i always coat it in butter or olive oil. There always juicy and tender ~ Now pork chops on the grill are very easy to dry out. Cause there is no fat. Always coat them either in butter or some sort of cooking oil.

    so how did the bourbon hold up in the bottom pan ? And what's the other side of the pan for ? enjoyed the cook gotta love the dinner in one pot

    • @Armadillopepper
      @Armadillopepper  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I mentioned late in the vid that I was tasting a mild sweet which ai think was from the bourbon. I'm withholding a final conclusion until a few more cooks. The right side collects the ash from the pellets in this model. There is a hole inside under the fire cut. Easy clean out!
