HEPHAESTUS SHIPWRECK, QAWRA, MALTA - 10th February 2018

The shipwreck of the Togo registered Hephaestus bunker that happened in very stormy weather in Malta on the 10th of February 2018, the exact date of the feast of the shipwreck of St. Paul, celebrated in Malta. This vessel was moored in the area known as Sikka l-Bajda, where in the early hours of the 10th of February 2018 in Force 9 winds, the same vessel broke it’s moorings and was unsuccessful in starting up the engine, most likely due to a rope lodged in the motor fin; ultimately leading due to the ship running aground.
