2:48 Well, there is one thing you can figure out through good detective work...BUT NANCY DOESN'T COMMENT ON IT AND YOU CAN'T USE THE INFORMATION FOR ANYTHING!! (when you find the blade with the coolant on it)
Here's a video I'd like to see. An in-depth look at the special features added by the Bonus Edition/Special Edition of each game. As you know, starting with TOT, and ending with SEA, HER offered a Bonus Edition of the games available only to people who pre-ordered. I've got all of the Bonus Editions for Game 24 onwards, but have never seen both editions of any given game in order to be able to compare the differences. Yesterday I was fiddling around with HER's Super Secret Cheat Menu, and was able to turn my regular edition of SAW into the Bonus edition by activating the ENABLE_CELLPHONE_GAMES flag. In this way I was able to activate Double Take and Land Rush on Nancy's phone, which weren't there before. TOT doesn't have that, but it does have a BONUS_CONTENT_FLAG flag. But when I turn it on, I see no difference. No cellphone games, at least, but there must be some other change somewhere. But what? That got me thinking, there are all these things I'm used to seeing, from always playing the Bonus Edition: Cellphone games, phone charms, faux bloopers, et cetera. How many of these special features are there that aren't there for the regular player? I was thinking the other day that one of the best things about SEA is that it's the only game that has Seeds of Persephone on Nancy's phone. But actually, nobody who didn't buy the Bonus Edition sees that.
There's a page on HER's website that introduces the TOT Special Edition. No cellphone games, but it says that you get More Pa Pennies lying around, so you don't have to fix as many circuit boards. 13 award stars on the badge instead of 12. Two extra outtakes (but only if you earn all 13 stars!) That covers TOT, but what are the special features of the other special editions? Definitely the cellphone games, and probably the phone charms that are all over the place in the later games. But I had no idea that there were features only available if you got all the stars, which I've never done, and none of the TH-camrs I've ever watched play have done it either. Maybe that should be the next marathon: Bling Nancy, who goes for all the awards.
Scott's character had so much potential. I wish they developed him (and the other characters) more than just adding in puzzles for no particular reason.
I agree! It's far from my favorite game but it's kind of a go-to replay when I want to play a ND game but not worry too much about spook factor/crazy twists, etc. I actually enjoy a lot of the puzzles and find them addicting, I just wish they weren't all chores!
@@lizziegrossman9067 Yes it's like Her Interactive wanted to bring back what Everyone hated in The Secret of Shadow Ranch and The White Wolf of Icicle Creek
Krolmeister is the best character in the game, and he's only a phone contact. Nancy is particularly cruel in this one. Even after she finds out that Ma is dead, she can keep asking Pa where she is.
I agree! You would think she would be more understanding about someone losing an important person since she's lost someone. It's very clear what happened to Ma and it's very clear that Pa is not ready to talk about it with someone who is basically a stranger! Yeesh, Nancy!
when I first played this game my mom would always say what a "nice guy" he was she never liked him I wonder if that makes him too obvious as a culprit he's gunnar from sea of darkness done poorly
with all of the characters except for pa in my opinion they only have one trait. scott is just mean. he’s not like alexei or gunnar or dexter who open up to us over time. frosty is just energetic. no other traits. debbie is just nice. they could have been well rounded characters but they werent and pa was the closest we got to that and even he was just a sweet old man with a backstory.
Went into this game wanting to like it, but after finishing it’s doubtful I’ll ever replay knowing all the mind numbing and annoying puzzles there are. This game lacks the fun factor for sure.
I want to like this game, but it is just so bland. The story isn't great, the setting isn't interesting, and the puzzles are kinda meh. I think the characters are okay, I guess, and I do like the storm chasing parts, but overall I think this one is pretty forgettable.
@@WizardKittenYT IT WAS WAY TOO OBVIOUS THAT SCOTT IS THE VILLAIN SINCE HE IS GRUMPY I THOUGHT IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A MUCH BETTER TWIST IF PAW WAS THE CULPRIT TRYING TO REVENGE ON SCOTT FOR THE DEATH OF HIS WIFE!
@@WizardKittenYT Debbi is really Ugly in this Game The look of Her Character is very odd looking I think that She looks kind of like A Frog or A Toad or something like that

I absolutely agree! There could have been something REALLY cool there...
Chase is actually in my top 5 characters! it’s probably just because I live in the country, but I just love his accent and backstory
Chase is very likable, such a good guy!
Sad to know it seems like The more of The Nancy Drew Games were made They seemed to care more about Puzzles and less about Character Development
I actually love this game. Weirdly it’s very peaceful to me.
I could see that! It does have a very chill feel at times!

I made my way through the whole original series when I was in 7th and 8th grade! I haven't read them since, but I loved them back then! :)
