SAVED BY THE BELL (2020): When California governor Zack Morris gets into hot water for closing too many underfunded high schools, he proposes they send the affected students to the most well-funded schools in the state - including Bayside High. The influx of new students gives the privileged Bayside kids (who never have a problem that can't be solved in twenty-two minutes) a much-needed dose of reality.
SAVED BY THE BELL (1989): Saved By The Bell (originally Good Morning, Miss Bliss), features six enterprising, adventurous teenage students with inventive schemes and mischievous dreams. Played by some now iconic actors such as Mario Lopez, Elizabeth Berkley, Mark-Paul Grosselaar and Dustin Diamond, the series follows the teens throughout their fun-filled days at Bayside school and their antic-filled nights at their favorite hangout, The Max. That would be me, I graduated HS 20 years ago this year and there are some people who i was friends with in HS I literally haven't seen since then.
@Matt Jones It's like being in the Twilight Zone. You know these people, you knew them before whatever line of work they are in currently, but then you realize, no, you don't know them.
Mmmm.....social media has pretty much killed the traditional excitement for class reunions. You essentially know what everybody is already up to.
@Matt Jones Now I've been off social media for 4 years. But....I'm still not that curious what my friends from Jr. High are up too. Life has chapters for a reason, people come and go. Sometimes I think social media has broken an unwritten rule of life. I've just decided to keep my world small. If I have friends that want to check up on me and know my family, that are close by, I'm pretty blessed. 5 actual (physical) friends you spend time with are better than 5,000 digital friends who have no real interest in your personal life but like your photos/post.
@@TheSaintFrenzy i agree with you on that one. My real friends are the ones on speed dial on my phone...not friends on fb who i havent seen or spoken to in 20yrs
Maybe they should make an episode where the new characters are stuck in a 90s version episode (as a dream sequence)... that would rock

Dennis Haskins retired from acting in the 2010's. In the SBTB universe, they made his character retire from teaching.

Lark did appear in one episode so she did reprise her role, she is supposed to do more in season 2
It’s hilarious that Zack and Kelly being self-absorbed is some big shock.
They were a little bit like that in high school too.. lol it's interesting now jesse and slater is finally seeing it ..as they grew older.. but Jesse was a little snobby and always says how smart she always was too.. in a kid friendly way

It's not Zack's fault she'd being written by airheads. It's true Kelly grew in maturity but don't expect the dolts behind this series to understand that.

Some of my closest friends are still people I knew in high school, and I was in high school back in the late 90s.
Mostly correct, but I do still have a couple of friends from junior high, which was early 90's for me.
preschool - 1 friend (50 years); elementary - 2 more friends (46 years +/-); jr high/sr high - roughly about a dozen (43 and 39-ish). So, in total, about 15 friends. I'm 54. Stayed in touch prior to Social Media.

Zack was, Kelly wasn't. I also hate what they did with Zack's character here. He went through a lot of growth and was a good guy by the end of the shows. They like reverted him back to teenage Zack, not a fan.

It just doesn't seem right without Dustin and Lisa but that is what happens with the passage of time. Sadly not everyone makes it and its right that reunions don't include everyone. Lesson - appreciate every day
It explains why Screech was excluded but not Lisa. Lark Voorhees has expressed interest in doing the show but says she wasn't invited.

I'd mainly meant in the interactions in the clip, though some reunions don't include everyone. I thought it was well put together that people you knew so well begin to think of you in a different way

Wow seeing this makes me sad because I was a child of the 90's and them reminiscing like that brought back so many memories for me. I love the fact that they kept Screech's character going in the series as well. I thought they would of played it off where he died in the Space Program or something like that but that would be a good story line to come up with though. Or they could just keep his character living aboard in the space shuttle. RIP "Dustin Diamond" aka "Screech"

I mean and we didn't even see the new cast(Pretty sure they are worse), but what happened to the writers and the comedy.

The early 90s were the best I must of watched it over and over on TBS after school then the Collage years didn't care for Next Generation but the Vegas Wedding movie Saved by the bell good times

Mario/Slater was always my favorite hands down. I’ve been on a peacock kick with the Office and Bel Air. Might add this to my list too.
It's great that Zack;Slater;Kelly and Jesse all ascept Lisa and Rip Screech are back together again from been absent from the show and on that Saved By The Bell Revival.

I feel sad about Dustin, RIP. I also think both he and Lark were done wrong by the producers of the show and suffered for it, mostly because they were both stereotyped badly.

@@kunalahuja1236 I read his book. I think most of it was based on truth, but probably exaggerated. He did not like the way the character of Screech was highly stereotyped.

Should bring back Violet who became Screech's wife and they had a kid who is cool who transfers to Bayside. Violet is constantly harassed by rich nerd nemesis Maxwell Nerdstrom.

Lisa lives in Paris in the show. She made an appearance in like the next to lady episode. Screech allegedly lived on the ISS.
The gang didn't work for Lisa's family..they worked for Mr Karosi..Leon Karosi..at the Malibu Sands Beach Club
