Doesn't mean he had never had anything to drink before he turned 21. Lots of people drink before 21. But Jay does question how Manny could know so much as of 2 months prior to this competition lol
I didn't know anything about alcohol when I started drinking. I started with 14 to be fair but legal drinking age for beer is 16 in Germany and before that my mum used to let me drink mix beer. I did drink quite responsibly. The first time I was drunk I was 19. I'm 36 now and I still don't know much about alcohol. I only know which alcohol I like to drink which is beer and vodka based cocktails and what I will not drink. Yes, occassionally I will drink a shot but that's more like a group thing. And I don't get wine at all, they all taste awful to me.
It’s not about knowing alcohol, it’s about knowing wine. Wine itself is a fine art, that’s why there’s a whole profession called a “sommelier”, they can tell what wine it is, where it was made and in some cases when it was made if they get good enough at it. People can do the same with whiskey although we don’t call them sommeliers we call them Irish 😂 (for context I’m Irish myself)
A feud between Manny and Javier, and removing him from the show permanently wouldn't have been an ugly idea.... TBH Jay and Manny's chemistry is impeccable....
“Now, Manny and I, we got our thing. Look, I know I’m not his dad… sigh, maybe I don’t like the reminder.” “With me graduating and everything, I kinda wanted to say, you and me today… y’know… that’s what I think of as father and son time.” “Here’s to you son.” Manny and Jay earned that love and chemistry together!
I know it's not but I would almost consider this to be a reference to Frasier as it features three characters in a scene with wine but only two of them are actually drinking it while the third just sits there watching them.
0:24 Manny the dude is in his sixties, he’s been alive around 3x longer than you, I think he’s ahead of the game in this one buddy Also unrelated, but me and my family stayed at a holiday house on a wine brewery in Bordeaux a few times and my grandfather got to know the owner personally and gets free bottles every year
Only watched this show sporadically. I thought Manny was like 6 when the show started and now he's old ernough to drink? How freaking long was this show on TV?
Manny has been overweight his whole life since childhood. It makes me sad because that means bad eating habits, more tendency to getting diabetes, having heart problems, etc and he is how old? 18? I hope he starts taking his health seriously soon.
Throughout most his life it was not his fault at all though, he was an overweight CHILD and his siblings were too (Disney's Raini Rodrigues) which means the bad habits were instilled and left unchecked by their parents or caretakers, it's sad that nobody in their workplace did anything to help
Jay saying "I love that kid" always breaks me
This fucking show always break me😭😭
Remember that episode Manny leaves a note before leaving for Mexico. And the note says "Take care of Jay".
I saw this comment and thought "I don't remember typing this, that's what I wanted to say. Oh wait, that's not my name or avatar."
Jay always trying to bond and make moments with Manny will be why he will always be one of the best Step dad's if not dad's on TV.
Phils the best dad, Jays the best stepdad
He was his second chance at being a good father. Their love was precious.

Good dad.
Joe- what's a wine cellar?
Manny- we have a wine cellar?
I know, right! 😄 And how would a seven-year-old know what to pick? Or how to carry up a bunch of bottles? 😆
@@NiVi192 he just picked random bottles, and I presume he carried them with these things called hands
Manny in this scene is every young adult that just reached the legal age - all of a sudden they think they know everything about alcohol 😆

Joe is the cutest bartender 😊😊😊
So much!! 😍
LMAO, the fact Jay adores how competitive and hustling manny is, he absolutely adores his drive.
1:51 I bet the little guy can't even tell time, but it was a nice touch
Digital watch
He can write so why wouldn't he be able to tell time?
I appreciate all the moments where Jay spends time with Manny 😊
Yes, and even with little Joe! 😊
1:51 Joe checked his watch
Omg lol
I think you misunderstood, he was looking at the notecard when he said, “and if we flip THIS over”.

😂😂😂😂
I love The way Jay is ! So relax and so wise
I was waiting for Joe to realize he messed up the order
That would've been a fun punchline
I stopped watching this show when Manny was still a kid.... Now I look at him and feel like the voice is dubbed in.
“we have a wine cellar” got me chuckling
That boy sitting behind the bar looked like successful barista bartenders 🤣
Such a great relationship.
Brilliant end to the scene. Jay is all heart
Joe is like a prize, a late in live child prize! 💛

The wine tastes nice.
I read this too fast and thought it said "Joe and Manny do some wife tasting"
"much like this wine that story has too many fruity notes"💀💀
I was hoping Joe would've said he peed in the glasses, but guess that's why I'm not a writer.
Al Bundy, is an expert on vintage wine.
You can see that's when Manny "drank the wine" on the second one you can see the wine didn't go into his mouth
I love 🍷

💜💜💜 what a good scene xx
This and the Frasier wine club scene made me really want to take up wine tasting.
'competetive jerk' 😂😂
Jay: Joe go to the wine cellar and pick out 5 bottles.
Many: We have a wine cellar?
Joe (simultaniously): What is a wine cellar?
Cracked me up
To be fair Jay is at an advantage since he's the one who bought the wine.
Manny with the gay joke!? Like father, like son. All that time together has finally rubbed off on him.
This show is probably the greatest ever sitcom created

In india just drink alcohol, you are in great trouble, you will get a boring lesson on ethanol by your parents.
