- In this video tutorial, I'll be showing you my digital painting process using my favorite brushes in Krita. These brushes are perfect for convincing realism and I think these are the most versatile brushes in Krita. I hope you enjoy this digital portrait speed painting / timelapse tutorial. Don't forget to share, like and subscribe!
Correction: The Wet Textured Soft brush featured in the video is not in it's default settings. The correct settings used in this video are as follows: Choose the Wet Textured Soft brush, go to the Brush Editor - change 'Predefined' to 'Auto'. Under 'Mask Type', change it to 'Soft'. 'Shape' should be 'Circle'. There's this 'Softness' table graph on the right side, just lower the left handle to about half (two bars) from the top.
I did that and my Wet Textured brush only puts out what looks like circular blotches. What did i do wrong? Thanks!
Maybe it's your brush's spacing setting. Go to 'Brush Editor', there's a blue bar in the mid panel with the 'Spacing' setting. Make sure 'Auto' is off, and the bar is set to 0.05. Hope this helps.
It worked! Thanks! @@denjay5
You're welcome.
Is it possible for you to share your favorite brush presets on Krita somehow? So, the settings will be there.
Outstanding work, your channel deserves to grow, this is as good as I've seen in this style digitally. All the best from Ireland.
Thank you @steveharris1974.
Amazing work. Thanks a lot. ❤ I hope to see more krita content 😊 I'm currently using the android version
Thank you @harryhollenback7503.
How do you find ur reference photos my guy???
There are plenty of websites that offer free 'Royalty Free' photos and other media such as pexels.com, pixabay.com, unsplash.com, freepik.com. Aside from these sites, I also have a collection of photo references which I bought from artstation.com and deviantart.com. Hope this helps.
It is amazing watching you doing this artwork, I too do portrait art with computer, but i do love watching others do the same, well done.
Thank you @stu5385.
Quiero dibujar así.
Thank you @artstyle_mx4584
hi sir wat is ur artboard size in inches?
Thank you @sathishbabu7220. The document size is 11 in (w) x 12 in (h) at 300 dpi,
Nice video. Are those brushes from the basic set in Krita or are they custom brushes?
Thank you @3dness449. Those brushes are basic default brushes that comes with Krita.
@@denjay5 That was fast, thanks!. I'll create a custom set with those brushes and play with them.
Nice
Thank you @ArtdesignStudio1.
the wet textured soft brush is never ever default setting.
I see... yeah, I forgot, I changed that setting. Under the Brush Editor, you can change the shape - instead of 'Predefined' change it to 'Auto'. Under 'Mask Type', change it to 'Soft'. 'Shape' should be 'Circle'. There's this 'Softness' table graph on the right side, just lower the left handle to about half (two bars) from the top. Thanks for pointing that out.
@@denjay5 ok thanks
What a lovely brush that turned out to be, thanks@@denjay5
Krita is so versatile and every artist push its limits into another direction. A real joy to watch! (but a bit depressing given my actual level lol)
Thank you @spacefoodable

Sure, will do! Probably not in my next video but in one of my future videos so stay tuned! Is there anything in particular you'd like to learn?
I love your style. You have a new subscriber :)
Thanks and welcome
Amazing video! Keep going man.
Thank you @catalyst5434.
My favorite part of the video is the hair coloring ❤
well done, it's amazing👍
Thank you @lolyrain
Would be interesting to know what you choose for a canvas size and dpi settings.
I usually go with an A4 and 600 dpi resolution for my portraits.
I don't compare my work to other people's art, but you have shown me how much I still have to learn.
Thanks for this inspirational video.
this is breathtaking, great job!
Thank you so much @momchillo4388.
Thank you @modysk.
