@@stephenmiller3155 Joey was epic to play. pretty sure he has the most lines of the 3 dudes so be a confident figure. Be sarcastic and witty. Get a light Italian accent going too brings that mobster vibe, and sing ur heart out. Some of the shit I was singing was out of my range at first but bring on those pipes esp in this song. So yea just act cool and you’ll have fun up there :)
my brother had a sister act play for his Drama class at his school a couple years back and he was the mexican gang member with the high pitched voice named Pablo
im about to play joey in my schools production of this show and im so glad i found this video so i can see another actors physicality with this character
+Annie C. I seen this show yesterday at the channhasen dinner theader and it was really good the guys went into thw asils and one danced with a lady in a black dress it was so cool
I just watched the Spanish version of this, and it was the most hilarious part of the show XD The translations were spot-on, as well. I wanted to buy the soundtrack, but they don't have a recording =/ It sucks!
@@fierypiranha I don't really remember which one of them was Pablo but none of them were English. They had one of them talk in an accent that was difficult to understand, kind of like Donald Duck.
@@Sylphadora ahhh ok. Pablo was the one who spoke Spanish in the English Dub, so idk if it was like Dora where they swapped him to the other language for the spanish release
@@ComputerGeek1100 Sorry for being 5 years too late 😭 I found two recordings of the production that I think is the one I saw in Spain: th-cam.com/video/hekWUjAIzFo/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/G7J4iG2iB7A/w-d-xo.html But there are many other recordings with productions in Spanish here on TH-cam: from Argentina, Puerto Rico, etc. In Spain the title of the song was translated as "Mujer de negro" but in Puerto Rico it was "Chica en negro seductor." Each country makes their own adaptation. Not-so-fun-fact - The actor who played Eddie Southern in the production I saw (Edu del Prado) died from pneumonia in 2018.
www.stlyrics.com/lyrics/sisteractthemusical/ladyinthelongblackdress.htm Some of the dialogue is different and the original version had an extra part in the last chorus (the "come on say hiya..." part) but this is a good starting point.
Stella Moschettini it goes joey- what's happening sister? yeah baby I'm talking to you, my name's Joey. I'm a Libra, I dig sunsets, strolling on the beach, and loving my neighbor as thyself. and right now neighbor, close your eyes and- PICTURE YOU AND ME ONE SWEET SWEET NIGHT, IN A POOL OF VOTIVE CANDLELIGHT, JUST ONE THING COULD MAKE THE MOOD MORE RIGHT, GOD DROPPING IN TO SING LIKE, BARRY WHITE, HEY LADY IN THE LONG BLACK, LETS GIVE YOU SOMETHING TO CONFESS WOAH WOAH WOAH HEY LADY TAKE A GOOD LONG GLANCE, I AINT NO PASTOR IM A STONE COLD MASTER OF ROMANCE
When we did sister act at my school this was everyone’s favorite song 😭 It’s so good
This song always puts a smile on my face ❤️❤️❤️
I am about to be Joey in an all female production of this, so I'm really glad I can see his physicality here!
Im about to be Joey too, im scared
@@davidkelley3528 I'm playing Joey in seven weeks. Just got the script yesterday. Any suggestions?

Bro the fucking vocals T^T ✨✨✨✨ so amazing I swear. The actors must have had fun doing that scene
Imagine how awkward it would be for the people in row 1
Annie C. Haha. I did this on a low level as Joey/Bones. The look of the ladies in the first row made my day again and again. :-D

I'm doing this right now playing Joey and it's hilarious
I'm playing Joey in a local production of this show and my parents will be front row opening night. This is gonna be so awkward XD
Why is Jeremy Jahns speaking Spanish?
Jeric Gutierrez the character he plays, Pablo, is a spanish speaker who speaks spanish when he’s feeling very emotional
I don't think you get it SupremeTaco
he plays a Spanish character so he speaks Spanish throughout the play
Now that's an awesometacular reference
I'm in the shower and I have to sing the Spanish bit 😭

is there any recording out there (bootleg or official) of the Spanish version of this song? I really want to hear it XD
Was Pablo English in the Spanish dub?
