Your videos changed my game completely. Now I can do what I want. With physical handles on gold, when a player barely beats me to the spot, I tap turbo and knock him off me. Yo, what's good Kev I want to start off by saying your definitely a Goat on the sticks and undoubtedly have a excellent understanding of the gameplay physics of this game so, salute. But I wonder if you would be transparent to a question I have are you using that pro controller with the moves and shots set to a specific button? I never see you miss bro or make a mistake at anything, now obviously you have the 5, console and hell probably every other new console on the market, as for me I'm still on current gen at the moment and I gotta admit I normally only play my career and because of how expensive 2k made playing on my team I had stopped playing that mode for a huge gap, and I hardly ever played online in the lobbies, so I suck point blank, but I always thrived in the my agenda's and challenge's so I always reached lvl 40 in my team way before time was up, so I normally have decent cards to choose from, but to me I noticed this year that the shooting is a little different again I honestly can say it's an improvement in a way but it feels like 2k slipped back to how 2k22 was when you advanced to the higher tiers like superstar and up you start missing way more shots, and I for one am frustrated I don't mind the level of A comp getting stronger on those levels but why do you they have to tinker with the shooting percentages of your players especially if the meter is full, it should be a made shot no matter what that's the bar they set for us to ascend to so don't add the politics to the gameplay leave it alone, even on free throws more full bar misses ridiculous, and don't get me started on the layup's under the basket this year , anyway man what are the best settings for my team play and how about a shooting tutorial my G for sappy player's like myself, man your videos are so good I can't even watch them all the way through because I end up becoming depressed at my own skill level, but I can't deny I Love to see it though because if nothing else at least you can see what could be possible, I guess they ban you from competing in the tournament's for the prize money huh, you would decimate all comer's with how you just waltz all through defense's, HELP a eternal newb out !!😢
Man believe me, I'm bricking a fair share too especially since I play on HOF! The struggle is real man, at the higher difficulties, the game can be pretty unforgiving. But this is week one bro! I'm still getting used to shooting too! I think I finally settled on shooting settings that I like - I have my release timing set to push and it's been working way more for me. My advice is to not let the game frustrate you, take frequent breaks, spend a little time practicing, and more importantly do what you need to do to have fun with the game!
@@KevinCruz016 thanks for the speedy response Kev appreciate your attention to your community, I feel you and I also play on HOF on my career, as far as my team I didn't even realize we actually could pick a setting for the agendas and challenges I thought it was a setting determined by the game, I mean if I'm gonna suck at least let it be at the echelon of levels, and earn as much xp and vc as possible and trust me I actually do spend way more time on the practice court than I ever have before, my gripe is it never seems to actually translate to the actual gameplay get me on the practice court and I'm fairly cash, but again bro I ain't gonna hold you, appreciate your advice it's definitely things I do already do, but I also work so when I'm off I'm cramming playing time like I'm studying for finals, trying to stay consistent but hasn't actually been the case, stay real Kev and again man love the content your extremely thorough!
"Target size up combos" are right stick combos that 2K designed to be used specifically in the game. To see what they are, go into the edit roster menu, and take a look at the dribble combos being displayed in the demo of the signature size-up. These are 2K's "target combos"
last year and all of the 2ks before had that cancel move, where you would be able to cancel out drible moves by hitting up on the right stick and down on the left, andhe would do some kind of snatch back dribble, but now it doesnt work anymore
@@KevinCruz016 well up and down don't work, i think now its diagonal up right or left, and down on the left stick while holding turbo.. but the thing is, its only certain animation packages that do it. Instead of being able to do it with any animations, its now linked to the "Stepback" animation you get to pick this year.. but i dunno..
I am new to nba2k and struggling trying to understand this tutorial, I cannot do any combos and having a hard time defeating pro AI, until I figure out the 2 types of crossover the escape and attack, it's a game changer!
Lets goooooooooo!!!! Keep working on it man, it's a deep game with a lot of mechanics so getting fully sped up into 2K takes some work. But keep at it, and you'll be surprised how far you've come!
idk if I’m trippin but it feels like my inputs are delayed for like a second maybe it’s bc im gettin back into 2k idk like for example if I do a cross combo it takes like a second after I do the input for the player to do it it’s like this offline which is crazy to me
Are you using a TV? that should not be happening man. But i do get some slight delay when I play on my tv instead of my monitor. Check to see if you got all the effects turned off that affects input lag
Most of the time, it's more because you're holding the left stick at the wrong time, rather than holding turbo. So make sure that when you activate your speedboost, you launch at the right time within the animation. It takes a lot of work, but once you get the timing down, it's going to come naturally. Different animations have different optimal speed boost windows. So practice a lot, then make your opponents pay!

The cpu defense in this version is OD. Players with 95 speed can't blow past anyone, Including forwards or centers. This is ridiculous. And the cpu help defense is crazy. This needs a patch with 2k23 defensive settings or something
As someone that does fine with the cpu defense, I can say that it can be a bit much. To the point that no one will play you on ball anymore online because why bother?

The cpu defense in this version is OD. Players with 95 speed can't blow past anyone, Including forwards or centers. This is ridiculous. And the cpu help defense is crazy. This needs a patch with 2k23 defensive settings or something
As someone that does fine with the cpu defense, I can say that it can be a bit much. To the point that no one will play you on ball anymore online because why bother?
