- Here I show you how to install the official Samsung anti reflective screen protector. It’s a bit fiddly but hopefully after watching this video you’ll have a better idea of how to do it yourself.

I went with a clear Tempered Glass for my S24 Ultra.
However, these TPU Screen Protectors are really great & super easy to install!
Especially for me in my dusty house! Turn off fans, AC, etc.
I've always used $8 3pk of EVG TPU Screen Protectors on my S22 Ultra & I don't have even a micro scratch on it anywhere!
Here's the believer part.
I dropped my S22 Ultra on Rocks from Chest height one morning!
Display Down on Rocks! When I picked it up, all I seen was a shattered display!
My worst nightmare came true until I took that TPU Protector off! Nothing!
Not even a little scratch on my S22 Ultra! Made me a believer..

Great content. I find that the Whitestone dome film screen protector is fantastic. The only film that uses a UV light to harden the film like a glass screen protector. Should try it.

My plastic frame thing didnt come with the adhesive stickers.. so that's why mine didn't line up perfectly with the screen :/
That's annoying! You could try complaining to Samsung or whoever you bought it from. They might send you out another one.
@@DriverDanTech it was a freebie that came with my phone along with a clear samsung case. I'm not too bothered to be honest, I'll probably change to a tempered glass one if I can find one that's anti-reflective
Great illustration. The phone's screen is anti-reflective and the colors doesn't pop out like regular screens will the protective film affect the colors further?
Thanks for your comment. I don't think so. I can't say I've noticed any difference having the screen protector on. As for the washed out colours I think that's only noticeable if you directly compare to an S23 ultra otherwise I think the screen on the S24 Ultra is amazing. I've compared it with my pixel 8 pro which has a really good screen also and both are top tier screens.
@@DriverDanTech I was comparing the screen on the S24U and GN20U and there is a difference. By increasing brightness of the S24U it looked much better. The screen protector came with the S24U and am debating to install it. Thanks for the demo on how to install just in case I decide to do the same.
I got one for free with my S24 Ultra and I personally found it to be a POS as it made the phone feel cheap and did not play nice with the s pen as it literally grabbed it. Ripped it off and went with a glass screen protector and now so much more happier and it doesn't feel cheap.
Yeah I don't blame you, how are you finding the glass screen protector with the finger print reader? Does it affect it at all?
@@DriverDanTech Fingerprint sensor works perfectly fine as I didn't even have to relearn it after installation. You don't normally have an issue with full adhesive tempered glass screen protectors.
The ESR glass protector works find with the fingerprint sensor, and dont have the sharp edges

Have you tested this screen protector with different cases (different brands) , not just samsung ones... wondering whether will it life the protector off...
No I haven't yet but I reckon it will be ok as the screen protector only just covers the screen and leaves the bezel exposed so I think the lip of the case will rest on the exposed part rather than the screen protector. I will test out some cases on this channel and make some videos on it so watch this space.

I installed a regular tempered glass screen protector. Even with touch screen sensitivity enabled the fingerprint reader is finicky. Have ro press down harder for it to register. I feel these film based protectors just provide protection against scratches?
Yes you're right Steve, the film ones just protect against scratches but don't offer much protection from drops like a glass screen protector would. Have you tried reregistering your fingerprints after you installed your glass screen protector? Sometimes that helps....I'd be interested to know if it does improve it a bit?
@DriverDanTech all were registered after application of protector. It's still better than the Pixel 8 Pro I had prior using a spigen tempered glass. S24 just takes a little more pressure.
@driverdantech how is your fingerprint experience now with this screen protector?
Yeah it's really good. I don't think I tried it without the screen protector though so can't compare but I'm very happy it. If I place my thumb in the right spot then it's 100%.
@@DriverDanTech I've seen lot's of negative comments on this screen protector - some saying it doesn't completely cover the screen and there's like a noticeable half mm (or less) gap on the sides?
Also - is it true that it's a soft TPU-like film? I've seen comments saying it fells terrible to the touch and collects dust easily...
I was eager to buy it, and now I have so many doubts and not sure which screen protector to buy at all...
Does it affect the reflection reduction?
I can't tell the difference. The screen protector is advertised as anti-reflecting so I assume it doesn't interfere with the screen. Sorry I couldn't be more definitive in my answer. 😬
I need help quickly, should I put this on it because I'm getting the S24 Ultra tomorrow and I was looking forward to the anti-reflective display, but now when I install the film the reflection is significantly worse
This screen protector is advertised as anti-reflecting so it should be ok. I would just weigh up what's more annoying, reflections on your screen or scratches?
@@DriverDanTech Yes, but if Samsung advertises it specifically and then breaks everything, that's stupid, of course no scratches are great, but anti-reflection isn't bad either, right
@@Lifevlog07. Yeah apparently this new gorilla glass Armor is more scratch resistant anyway. I've been using this screen protector for the past week and the thing that annoys me with it is my thumb catches on it when I use swipe gestures so I've had to revert back to using 3 button navigation.

@@Lifevlog07. Unfortunately I put the screen protector on straight away so didn't compare. I have just held the s24u up next to an iPhone 15plus and a pixel 8 pro and can confirm that with the screen protector on it is by far the least reflective of the three. I hope that helps?

Finger print working fast or slow
Finger print works well. You just have to make sure you rest your thumb for half a second.
Isn’t the screen on the s24 ultra anti reflective anyway?
Yes that's right but if you put a regular screen protector on this phone it ruins the "anti reflectiveness" of the screen so you kind of have to use one of these so that it doesn't ruin that particular feature. Think of it as like a Matt screen protector whereas the tempered glass ones are shiny.

Nothing I guess but this one's got a better script and was filmed on location in my kitchen. 😉
When installing this screen protector, do yourself a favour and get out of your head. It really isn’t that hard.

Why would anyone get a film protector on a flat screen instead of tempered glass?
Because tempered glass doesnt work as well with ultra sonic finger print readers and this new phone has an anti reflective screen which would be ruined by having a sheet of glass slapped on top.
There are better screen protectors that are much easier to apply than this
but this is the best reduced reflection screen protector that suitable for less reflection screen technology of S24 Ultra.

No it's clear. The blue bit is just the backing that comes off during installation.
