This is great for beginners. You don’t have to count as much nor grid. I’ve done elaborate designs the traditional way starting with a blank piece of fabric which I then make a grid that matches the grid on the pattern. It’s tedious prep before you actually start stitching.
Right now I’m doing a stamped design I purchased years ago. I find it goes faster because you don’t have to count and look at your pattern as much. It’s more relaxing so far. It’s good practice for me because I’m just getting back into cross stitching. As long as you enjoy the journey there’s no need to rush to the finish line.

That's what I thought too coz it's far more convenient now.

But now I’m finding out as I stitch in hand although it’s faster, the continued rubbing of the stitched area causing the stitches to fuzz up like a cheap sweater. The threads r probably really low quality. Easier but disappointing in the quality of the threads

I’ve done cross stitch the old way in the 80s, but this stamped one looks really interesting to do. But with my arthritic hands, I think diamond painting is better for me. Maraming salamat👧💗👏 for this video po

Ito hobby ng mama ko kahit nung di pa ako pinapanganak. She still have a lot of patters and threads na nakatabi. I've tried cross stitching before but it's not really for me I think? 😅 Maybe because diamond painting ang para sakin talaga. For me, hindi ko siya nakahiligan kasi ang tagal niya rin gawin kaya I will try my best to find the designs ng pattern ni mama in a diamond painting version. Or maybe I could try this some time. 😅

I love these kits, but I do them as needlepoint instead of cross stitch. Needlepoint is done as half cross stitch with double the thread.

@@mskathykenny This is an example on painted canvas but it works well with printed cross stitch and counted cross stitch. I double the amount of floss that is used to cross stitch because I am making only one stitch. I grew up doing needlepoint and couldn't transition to cross stitch. I use a larger needle to spread the holes so the thread sits nicely and I use smaller lengths so it doesn't twist. You might want to try a very small project to see if you like half cross better than full cross. I just think half has a smoother appearance which I like. If you have it in a scroll frame you don't have to worry about the canvas getting out of shape. th-cam.com/video/6cqQWAP20BY/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=MindfulThreadsCompany

Are you based in the Philippines? I've been wondering where to get 16 and 18-count Aida fabric, and I can't find it anywhere here except online! Was wondering if you know where I can get in Metro Manila if you're based here.
