Go! It is paradise! I stayed for 4 days in Sao Miguel Island. Too short! Going there I had no idea how charming the Islands where. I should have stayed much longer!

At 22:30, that plant is called purslane. I've always thought of it as a weed, but all parts of it are edible, and it's actually good to have in your garden if you're close to the coast because it can help to remove salt from the soil, permitting the growth of salt-sensitive plants nearby them.
Carlos, go to Brico Dutra and buy a long maçarico and a bottle of propane and burn the weeds, works fantastic! Especially around and in the rock walls etc.
@@ourjourneyonpicoisland-car552 on the larger weeds, use the torch to wilt the weeds, then come back a week later and burn them again. You won’t believe how good it looks.
Great idea. It's a method of weed control acceptable in organic growing and could work really well there, especially for hard-to-deal with situations such as brambles and rocky terrain. Maybe something the viticulturalists in Pico could try instead of the pervasive use of "Roundup".

Who wouldn't go when your vacation. My ex-husband is from São Matues. My grandfather had a home in São Matues also. My great grandparents were from São Matues.
I can't wait to go to Pico; it looks so beautiful. I will be there for a day during my stay in São Jorge. Do you know if cab drivers offer tours? It would be great to tour around a bit.
Pico is waiting. Taxi's do offer tours, the key is to get a good one(some go around too fast). You can also go with a tour company, you pay a bit more but worth it. Send me an email when you are ready to travel. Take care Simon. Cheers!

I love that there is no North American suburban lawn mowing competition on Pico. Everyone decides for their own property, no peer pressure.
