    I've seen other tutorials on this and they made it overly complicated. Glad to see this one was straightforward and easy-to-follow ;)

    Oh I'm dumb I finally got it thx my problem is the walls... They're not straightning out. Yours is also different, it's hanging out of the building, mine is not....

    It was a decent tutorial....but, what if I don't want my U or L shaped stairs to be against a wall? What if I want them in the middle of the house, hmmm?

      Did anyone figure this out? I’m struggling as well.

      @@LiveEatSleepBiersack place the top stairs first, then adjust the wall that wraps around the landing between floors so that the wall ends where the second story floor begins. Then place the main floor->landing between floors stairs. After that flatten appropriately so that the floor at the middle of the stairs is flat. Then add the second story wall and continue building as normal

    Ok so this isn't working - my lower level walls, surrounding the landing space are completely skewed and if I level them, it ruins the landing space.
    Any way to fix this?

  • @ash199090
    @ash199090 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The part where you are levelling the top level, when I do this, it also levels the platform/landing space and brings everything back up to normal level. Help! I really want to do this.

      Ashleigh Giles Did you have two stories of walls before starting it and level just the floor on top of the second level?

    • @ash199090
      @ash199090 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry, I eventually did figure it out but building a separate room outside of the space completely and levelling it with that space, that's the only way it would work for me. Can I ask though, is it possible to repeat it on a level directly above the first two levels? So building a three storey house with two lots of U shaped stairs? I built the first lot successfully but couldn't manage to do another lot. Thanks for the response btw!!

      I'm glad you figured it out! Oh yeah if you do this in the middle of a house you do need to have a one tile room around the landing so it doesn't mess with the rooms next to it. I should have explained how to do that back when I made this.
      I'm a little rusty on building in The Sims 3, but I believe you can do this in a 3 story house. You would put in the walls for the third level and repeat the same process with the second and third level.

      Hmm I tried doing this with the third level and had the same problem, it levelled the floor tiles up to the normal height so the stairs were just sitting in mid air. So frustrating haha I ended up giving up but I might try and give it another go. Thanks for your response and help. I enjoy your building videos!

      It takes some practice to get the hang of using the CFE cheat. Did you have all three levels of walls in place before beginning on making the stairs? Thanks!

    Yeah.. it's good but I can't build a room around the stair because of the wall and missing floor tile.. nice useless trick
