bima satria garuda actually has a sequel called satria garuda bima x. in bima x, the hero has 4 different forms very reminiscent to kuuga's. there is also the third satria (hero) with tiger motif named torga which is super cool. and last may, a feature film was released. the film is not entirely good, but still enjoyable anyway.
There is one Korean tokusatsu call 'Vector Man' It was short and not so great story but visuals and action were great even it was aired in 1998. Personally really enjoyed it.
as an Indonesian, Bima is getting better eveytime, with the Bima X sequel (Trust me Marcos, the designs of Bima X character are legendary) and the new Satria Heroes movie. haven't watched the movie tho. Maybe it sounds good when subbed, but for me, the original Indonesian dub is kinda weird.

Better yet! Germany got some Kamen Rider Films thanks to Inframan. That movie was so popular over here that they brought some Movies from the very first Kamen Rider Series over here by re-naming ichigo to "Super-Inframan". And yes, it gets better. Please look up the covers for the VHS tapes. The Movies were renamed Godzilla style with titles like "King Kongs Kong-Fu Monsters" and the publisher placed Ichigos Face over the face of a drawn King Kong picture. it's amazing xD"
EnerKaizer Didn't Know Toku Was popular in Germany! That's Awesome & I better stop talking before I say something relating to one of the darkest moments in History. 0_0
It sadly isn't realy. Ever since the insane price-increase of Action-figures over here the genre is pretty much dead. (The prices for Action-Figures and toys of that category have allmost doubled 4-5 years ago.) The only Toku-show we ever got in its originall form was Tokkei Winspector, and we only got 20 Episodes total (because the other 30 episodes didn't make it through the FSK, the German Age-Rating-agency. Not kidding here, most episodes of Winspector qualified for an Age 16 and above rating in Germany.). We also do not have any kind of chance to get Winspector on DVD because the channel that broadcasted it has lost the masters for it. What was cool though was that, while we still got a own Opening Song and Video for Winspector, we still got to hear the originall soundtrack when it played during the episodes.
Do all five seasons of Armor Hero have dubs? Or is it just the first two? Also, does it make more sense to watch them in chronological order? I'm almost done with XT, but I'm more eager to watch Captor than Lava.

I watch Legend Hero every week when the subbed episodes get released. I'm utterly in love with the series. I did binge watch the first 5 or 6 episodes, and I'm not going to lie, it was good, but it did get kind of episodic. But the rate in which characters come and go is fairly decent. Villain/evil characters usually last 2 episodes (with the except of 2 anooying insects). Which is good because there's a lot of people of involved in the Dream Battle. I know a few other lesser known Tokusatsu outside of Japan: ChinaGolden HeroIt's a mix of Ultraman and Pokemon. It's about a science patrol-like group who look for small aliens, called Yuma, that each have different abilities. However, an evil alien force are hunting them down. They would send out alien warriors to look for the Yuma. And sometimes, when they capture a Yuma, they would merge it with one of the minions to turn into the monster of the week. One of the members of the group has belt that allows him to transform into a Ultraman-looking warrior, but he does not grow giant. The monsters he faces are usually actors wearing make-up and armor, but some of them would wear a mask. The hero's main finisher is a sword that he powers up and slashes at his opponent. This is the only clip I can find on TH-camm.th-cam.com/video/uixwpvnOqr0/w-d-xo.html You can howver find all the episodes on Youku! Please Reply!
Well Technically Godzilla isn't really Tokusatsu, at least that's not what he was meant to be at first. I'm guessing because they're guys in monster suits that technically counts as Godzilla being Toku, that and giant Robots like Jet Jaguar, Moguera, Mechagodzilla, and Mecha King Ghidorah. Although Godzilla and a couple of his monsters did crossover into the Zone Fighter series a few times so I guess that counts too. Oh and also, 4:45 that can be said about Akame Ga Kill as well.
Thanks for adding machi action here. I just finished watching it and it really was a great movie. For those who havent watched it yet, dont expect it to be a superhero movie. It is more about the life of the actors, watch the trailer first but i was really entertained by that movie. Greatly recommended!!!
I have to say, while the Philippines had a lot of what we say as "fantaserye" (i.e. shows with fantasy themes, with many special effects), the technology hasn't been that good for some reason, and in Zaido it was apparent that at times the blending of the Zaido during their poses were quite not cleanly blended in with the background.

Zaido is very terrible. Less action scenes, more soap opera. That's why it failed here in Philippines. I still remember the director of the said series is not a fan of Space Sherriff series. That's why Zaido is considered flop.
i have not watched Zaido cause its college days and busydays but from what i saw from the commercials, the costume, the oversized headgear i can see its... well to be honest .. not good. maybe if its aired once a week and not primenight where much of the sponsors and ads are from soap and detergent manufacturer which is the time mostly moms are watching it might not be so melodramatic. they have ambitions or maybe they think nostalgia always work but we are not like saban who also owns toy manufacturing. we dont have toys tied in with the show and maybe the original molds for the shaider toyline are now destroyed. having it tied with toys and merchandize might help the quality of the show because it will be a not so obvious advertising show as almost all Japanese kid show (action figure, robot, videogames, soundtrack, concerts, cars and motorbike; suzuki mazda, some fastfood partnerships and all of the fashion line they are wearing in the shows are available for sale. kaso hindi eh pang soap opera lang talaga.
I have a spot soft for Bima Satria Garuda because when I had a fansub, it was the first series that I completed (unfortunately, I lost all the episodes on my MEGA account and only have a few Bima X episodes here). I'm surprised you didn't talk about Mini-Force. Sure, it's technically a CGI cartoon about funny talking animals living with a human, but it is technically Tokusatsu. In each episode, the cartoon animals morph into these Power Ranger-like warriors in order to save animals from monsters using giant robots and shiny special attacks.

Im from the Philippines ... and Zaido is a dark time for Filipino TV ... In behalf of everyone in the Philippines who cares ... we're very sorry for this.
Hi. First time seeing your channel. I'm a fresh Toku fan having been following it starting with Kyoruger, Kamen Rider Ghost and Power Rangers Dino Charge as the first for each. I liked this video and if you aren't already working on it, how about making a video about obscure Toku shows that are famous worldwide but not in Japan or the US. For example, I'm from the Middle East and over here we had Dinosaur War Izenborg and to a lesser extent Born Free as the most famous and well known Toku show in the region. It got to bit of obscurity level in recent years since it's an old show and now we have Power Rangers as the mainstream Toku show on TV, but it's still remembered fondly by fans who grew up with it including yours truly. I would say go check it out, but it's so obscure the only version you can find is the Arabic language version. No English subbed version available yet and that's sad because it's one of the more unique Toku shows out there and doesn't have enough exposure.
Ward Nightstone toku is for all ages but most of them are for kids but there are a lot that is for adults like kamen rider amazon. This is my problem with most people , they all think toku is for kids
What about Fujiyama Ichiban? It may be set in LA but it has a Kamen Rider Gaim aesthetic with a dash of Shinkenger and Hurricanger thrown in. Minus the fruit armour from Gaim, of course.
theres something called masked hero suyria (may have miss spelled it) i havent been able to find anything on it at all except a few shots of the suit and a really bad "transformation" clip om youtube. i think its Thai
Think you mean Azura Armour, all those heroes can be found on www.thai-toku.com most of them are comic heroes but still toku themed. There where also plans for a prism theme sentai and an fish themed Bettaranger.

We’re soon gonna have Adiwira Adiperkasa. The show is not out yet as of this comment, but the design of the suits is out there and I love it.
I grew up with Armor Hero it was my first exposure to Toku and I LOVED IT
i seen miniforce,i cannot wait till you talk about it,it even on netflix
7:46 XD Cuz villains are badass mofos.
I am a filipino but to me zaido is a mixture of space sheriff, super sentai and kamen rider because they are the filipino space sheriff and there are 3 zaido and there finishing move is called zaido kick
And there names are zaido blue, green, red but the actor who played zaido green died 9 months after the end of zaido
2:12 ex aid abridged in a nutshell
Kamen Rider Amazons is ma favourite
Do you guys remember Specter from 2005? It's a bit like Kamen Rider too. And also played by TimeFire's actor.
1:43 But that's just recolored Tajadol
So i watched Machi action, and i definitely was not ready. That ending caught me by surprise and i cried like a kid.
To be honest, I’m intrigued in you having a MiniFirce Retrospect video in the future.(Damn, I am such a shit manchild.)
It's a fan Project but did you heard about France Five ? Take a look ^^ start in the épisode 3
I really thank you for being proud of the name of Indonesia
Im from the Philippines ... and Zaido is a dark time for Filipino TV ... In behalf of everyone in the Philippines who cares ... we're very sorry for this.
So this guy didnt watch the next sequel of satria Bima the next series of Bima is bima x damn the suit are cool and can change form
No English subbed version available yet and that's sad because it's one of the more unique Toku shows out there and doesn't have enough exposure.
love bima... and now have bima x and movie too must see
There's a show called Phoenix Yatsurigi. It's not widely known because it's a "Local Hero" type but it's really good. There's 6 seasons!
Local heroes should get their own series. So many good ones like Mabuyer.
you could consider Cleverman Australian Toku though it's meant for adults
Ward Nightstone toku is for all ages but most of them are for kids but there are a lot that is for adults like kamen rider amazon. This is my problem with most people , they all think toku is for kids
What about Fujiyama Ichiban? It may be set in LA but it has a Kamen Rider Gaim aesthetic with a dash of Shinkenger and Hurricanger thrown in. Minus the fruit armour from Gaim, of course.
I’m pretty sure bima’s animation thing was taken from OOO’s tajador 1:42
I like sports rangers suits
God, I'm still waiting for a sequel of Bima X
I remember watching Armor Heroes when I was little. Good time.
I'm looking forward to see you talk about Mini Force next time.
theres something called masked hero suyria (may have miss spelled it) i havent been able to find anything on it at all except a few shots of the suit and a really bad "transformation" clip om youtube. i think its Thai
Think you mean Azura Armour, all those heroes can be found on www.thai-toku.com most of them are comic heroes but still toku themed. There where also plans for a prism theme sentai and an fish themed Bettaranger.
Marcosatsu.
1. The satria garuda bima has a season 2 called satria garuda bima x
2. There is a new satria coming out named "Satria naga kai" or dragon knight kai. When that comes out please review it :D
From indonesia
Oh lord, Armor Hero was really fantastic when I saw it on vacation in China. I really wasn't expecting it to be good, but my god it was.
Hey Marcosatsu, I'm Kris, and I play the villain in a Tokusatsu series from Singapore. Do a segment about Sacred Guardian Singa if you can. We had a booth at the Singapore Comic Con in 2019, and there's quite a bit of material about us online. Keep up the good work thus far!
Cheers,
