Manx Cat Rag - Original Rag by Patrick Gray

This is a three-part rag I composed for solo piano as part of a request I received to provide music for a short film. Inspired by Joplin's rhythms and harmonies, it has a very cat-like, playful feel to it.

My music teacher at school was a good friend of Joshua Rifkin, who popularised Scott Joplin's music, so I got an early introduction to piano rags. Love them, and that one is one of the best I have heard. Play it more often, and write more.
