Imagine if people thought having mustaches was racist for the white scars but having black/characteristics wasn't racist for the likes of salamanders or other black skinned models ..like if the skin colours were genuinely based off of the radiation or heat level of the environment like it is on earth ... You would potentially have black skin with Caucasian like features due to the diversity of the millions of world....and therefore any black person GW puts out that looks like a stereotype ...we could judge that as racist .... Of course we all know that it isn't and that representation and diversity beats control from those who get offended on behalf of others who genuinely don't care ..or are happy to be represented.
That's actually how it is with Salamanders in the lore. Their black skin (and it's charcoal black, not "african" black) is caused by Nocturne's radiation. But due to pandering they turned Sallies into space africans
I don't get what you mean about terminator praetor ..there are left handed power fists in the base cataphractii set ..the sword will go in the right hand and actually comes as an option to be in the right hand ....you can easily cut off the left arm carrying the eagle and replace it with a generic left arm/hand like you mentioned will be used in upgrade kits ..cut the bolter from the hand and attach it to the left one .... There is no need to put the eagle in the right hand
The arm is in such a position that you will have a very oddly angled fist, unless you replace the shoulder too, now you have mismatched shoulders or you can swap both and lose that unique look. It's the left arm with the eagle, the same arm that all terminator weapons are designed for, so it doesn't work.
I miss the old intro so much. Ive always wanted to do a white scars army. The mk2's look fantastic. The mk6 looks horrible. Great range. I think a mk2 WS army would be epic looking.
I just received my first trio of Golden Keshig as this video comes, and I have to agree with you, they are sadly quite underwhelming. I will try to get some more ornate shoulder pads and helmets to give them a chance to stand out a little bit more. Great video I love these range reviews!
Is it me... or after all these years, ALL of the Legion ranges are quite small? Forgeworld did a good job with 18 Legions. But still could have used less 'Specialist' projects pulling away tasks. Imperial Militia during the old Catachan/Cadian days would have been real nice!
It's a bit disappointing they picked Qin Xa instead of Jubal Khan as the first character. I don't recall him much in the two books besides Eidolon killing him, while Jubal has a short but great guest appearance in the Templar audio drama.
I love that terminator praetor. But it should probably have been a bike Praetor or something more unique for the White Scars. (Also, when it comes to the problem of unique terminators/praetors having different patterns. I think its somewhat fine when its a Tartaros Praetor. Because there is no generic Tartaros Praetor. But theres two generic Cataphractii Praetors FFS!!! So it goes against the Spirit of the legion, the unique terminator unit, and the fact that its not a ”new” unit like a Tartaros Praetor would be.)
Man, sometimes I forget how stupid GW prices are. I haven't bought a GW model for 8 years or more maybe. Ever since I discovered recasts and then later 3D printing in 2019. Makes me laugh thinking that anyone would pay $150 for a jet bike or $65 for a small single model. That single model would cost less than $1 in resin. The Jetbike might be $3 but probably closer to $2. The really absurd thing is people will argue that you need to buy a printer so that balances it. I think I bought my printer in 2019 for $400. I've printed 2 full armies of several thousand points. Probably 10k points of models in total at a guess. From GW I can only estimate that it would of been $20k looking at these ludicrous prices your showing.
I find it funny that the two worst models (in your opinion) are both terminators...in the fucking White Scars. Also, Qin Xa doesn't look anywhere close to being fat to me, especially in comparison to other terminators. He actually has a more speedy and aggressive look to him because of his triangular silhouette (did I just spell that right on my first try? Shit.).
The primary problem with them is that they’re too specialized. Only 3 or 4 legions were particularly interested in stealth tactics, and mark vi was specifically a scout armor. AL, NL, and RG are the only legions that would have ever used them em mass, with a few others like UM or DA sparingly using them. But you’d never see something like an IW or WE with a beakie.
I really like qin xa, but Jaghatai while he does look cool is a complete failure and the worst primarch for me just because he doesnt has his bike. Like sanguinius without his wings, also the helmet wouldve been fantastic
I disagree with the 8/10 for the hawk welding guy. Alright for a statue but doesn't look like a warrior mid battle. Should have had the hawk perched on the top of his left shoulder or something.
I rate Qin Xa higher, but only because I find it comedic that a guy in Tactical Dreadnought armour is posed on a tactical dreadnought.
