This HOME is so gorgeous that I would be honored yes HONORED to own it. The design and use of the square footage are masterful and the staging is superb. I can not stop praising it. Can you explain why you did 3” of closed cell? I was told by my local spray foam company that 90% of the heat is stopped within the first inch of closed cell, then stops less than 10% for each additional inch after that. So I’m not sure how that works. Love the barndo! Perfect setup!

I want to build on here in Sonora Mexico and it will be 33X63 and have 18 foot tall sides and half of the ground space will be a shop and the house will be able to have a second story finished afterwards.i want to do it as a 3 bedroom one bath. I love the idea of a wash down area before entering the house.
I don't have access to reasonable priced colored tin, so I have a question for you about how can the galvanised tin be painted and not have the paint peel off?

Truly Inspirational. Love it and your site. However, $300K and all of that wonderful closed cell insulation; why didn't you encourage the installation of a geothermal heat pump (supplies hot water too)? Or at least get the condenser unit out of the sun? Just curious.

I think that a benefit of a barndo is that most/all interior walls are not weight bearing so one can change the floor plan with relative ease. Don't want an open floor plan any longer? Add a couple walls. Don't want that any longer? Take down the walls.
This may be a stupid question but how do you seal the top of the windows if the metal side has “corrugated” type pattern? If it rains does the rain not get in through the top of the window?
So, it’s a house with metal siding. I bet it’s insulated, plumbed and electrified like any other house. The only advantage I see is a lack of exterior wood to dry rot or get eaten by termites. Looks nice but most brand new houses do.

Based on their prices this one would be roughly minimum 300k. They charge minimum $130 sf for living area and $42 sf for porches and extensions.
