With rockstar as a major sponsor of FD. And rockstar sponsored drivers second and third. That would never happen. Matt and Odi can’t afford to leave it in the hands of the judges.

Hopefully they implement speed recorders on the cars so if someone(gushi, forseburg) is incredibly slow and getting run over they get dq'd
They don’t judged based of speed and plus if someone’s not fast enough that should matter since that’s the challenge of drifting
Speed is a part of it but it's up to the chase driver to follow what the lead is doing. A slower car will usually lose because of a gap when chasing.
