But Moon usually goes by he/they and doesn't really have much preference. Thus, Sun is uncomfortable because he doesn't like his body being something he isn't used to, while Moon doesn't mind how people see him as and finds it interesting and a fun temporary change.
To answer your question neither Davis nor Reed were actually speaking with those voices. They were probably speaking with normal voices with effect on their voice. We’ve heard The particular affect on sun voice before.
