I will be honest this looks bloody good fun. Airsoft weapons could be used in training recruits, or even in exercise situations. Be more realistic than using blanks with a big yellow BFA on the end of your barrel, things have changed a lot since i left the army, when i was a 'sprog' we were still using the SLR, i loved that weapon 🥰 and with airsoft guns you would do your best to avoid being hit, it looks like it stings! It would add an element of reality to an exercise. Go on i bet someone is going to say the military dose use this system now lol.
A little late, but the military used a lot of the m15a4 armalite licensed models for this. I suspect they have moved on from that though. The issue is always effective range, but in MOUT style training it is usable
