She is going to be a great mommy! So calm about everything. I have had 3 c-sections and have always struggled to be calm about them. So glad she can try for normal - I will pray that all goea well for her birth! Makes me so happy seeing all the cute little baby things. My youngest is 8 months old and just growing up way too fast. Hopefully not my last. Fantastic that you support not seeing baby for the first few weeks. Not everyone is so understanding. We had a few angry family members with our last baby who was born in our country's second wave. You will still get to have so many beautiful memories with him later.
Even 50 and 42 years ago I felt that way. Our little family needed settling in time along with get to know you time before visitors. I also treated myself gingerly and felt I was entitled to do so considering I just pulled off the most amazing feat ever☺️ I had winter babies so of course that dictated we nested until weather, flu and cold season allowed us to venture out. It really was a special time that I was only going to get to do a handful of times..♥️♥️👍

The room looks great. Im 60 and amazed at all the wonder items that they make for babies. I had a simple Winnie the Pooh nursery 40 years ago for my daughter. It was quite trendy then. Lol
Good idea keep him in his room! Don’t let anyone change your mind! My husband took our daughter to our room and she was 11 before we could get her out totally. She would start in her room and more often than not end up in our room. Our son stayed in his room pretty well. But they are hard to break if it starts. Sometimes. Not everyone has a hard time. Congratulations on little Samuel! He is a blessing!
This takes me back to the time when I had my first child. The excitement was out of this world. What a blessing! I would spend ours in her room rearranging and looking at all the cute clothes. Matching outfifs and taking pictures to share them with my mom I will never forget the joy that time brought me. Amy you are a wonderful mom for not downplaying all the nikc nacks that you know she wont really "need" but instead you are excited with her. Oh how I can't wait for my grandchildren! This is what life is all about

Oh Lauren, I totally feel you on ink, paint, glitter and glue😳 Lauren - I am so glad you have your mom/dad and mother/father-in-law to help. We have five little girls and they have no grandparents in their lives. I went through all five child births without any family but had friends that are stronger than family that came and supported us. Also, I used a co-sleeper for all our babies and then they all transitioned great to their own room. Mommy didn't transition as well as they did.

I was totally feeling for you, Lauren, with the placenta previa. I had that with my first and had to have a C-section at 36 weeks. My baby was a preemie, but he was still 7lbs 9oz 😂 He was in the nicu for 5 days and was definitely the biggest preemie in there! Haha! It was a scheduled C-section and I was TERRIFIED. Like, crying myself to sleep bc I was so scared. But you know what? It wasn’t that bad! I had a little notebook with scripture written in it for my husband to read to me, and I’d talked to my doc beforehand and they put my baby on my chest for skin to skin as soon as he’d been wiped off/weighed. From the start of the C-section to when he was actually born was like 3 minutes, and then the rest of the procedure I don’t even remember because I had my baby on my chest. I just thought I’d share that in case you end up needing a C-section. I was so scared, but I promise it’s not the worst 😂❤️
Great gifts for baby Samuel! I used the cloth diapers for burp rags lol & loved them! So many great books ….favorite as reading is important imo! So excited for Samuel to arrive! Blessings Lauren n Matthew!🙏🤗❤️👶🍼

Lauren is so precious... I just became a surprise grandma September 30th. My daughter found out 3 weeks ago that she was around 5 weeks pregnant.. Well she went in Labor September 30th with a FULL term baby lol.. Perfectly healthy and beautiful baby girl Penelope Rae.. I'm so loving being a grandma.. ❤️
@@kristinccha yes we don't see how there was such a mistake in how far along she was.. she is actually my stepdaughter. Her mama didn't know she was pregnant until she went in labor also.. so it must be something that runs in their family lol... You couldn't even tell they were even pregnant..
I am so excited about Baby Samuel and this being Lauren and Matt's first baby and you and Gregg being first time Grandparents. If you have ever heard people say Grandchildren are a lot different than when you raised your children,It is all true.I would be very stressed and it was a learning process but now with Grandchildren I am a lot more patient and a lot less stressed now.I Live being a MiMi!!!
Awwe so happy for her! I remember the excitement of having our first and I thought I would burst with all the love I was feeling... Then the next came and it was even more special somehow (I think because I knew what was ahead and just how special it was the 1st time around) and my heart just expanded with even more love and now I am ready for a #3 lol but all in Gods timing! My daughters have a ton of books. Including those Llama ones!💜 My husband and i love books ourselves and so special books are often a part of most holidays around here and we always write a note in the back so we remember when they got them and why 😊
I had my oldest Son who is 41 now by C-section when I was 18 and my second Son when I was 32 vaginal Delivery,I promise you will want pain medicine.I salute you Lauren if you can go without it.

Having acid reflux is such a struggle. When I was 7 months pregnant I was "eating" almost a roll of antacids. My Dr said you can use liquid antacid medicine. I have a very hard time with liquid medicine. The reason for all the acid reflux is my son was born with red hair. Old wise tale says the more hair the baby has the more the acid reflux will be. 😆 Fire red hair will do it. God bless and we can't wait for Samuel Dwight arrival
This makes me smile thinking about my first baby versus my second (twins). First baby i was organized, tired, mostly prepared,my husband and i would tag team work. Second babies it was chaos, i rolled with everthing, i was/am doing it like a boss haha.

It’s not necessary I never used it and actually know someone that passed from getting cancer from it. Family is still in the lawsuit. Just my opinion but I never saw e purpose of it. Best of luck!! I was totally feeling for you, Lauren, with the placenta previa. I had that with my first and had to have a C-section at 36 weeks. My baby was a preemie, but he was still 7lbs 9oz 😂 He was in the nicu for 5 days and was definitely the biggest preemie in there! Haha! It was a scheduled C-section and I was TERRIFIED. Like, crying myself to sleep bc I was so scared. But you know what? It wasn’t that bad! I had a little notebook with scripture written in it for my husband to read to me, and I’d talked to my doc beforehand and they put my baby on my chest for skin to skin as soon as he’d been wiped off/weighed. From the start of the C-section to when he was actually born was like 3 minutes, and then the rest of the procedure I don’t even remember because I had my baby on my chest. I just thought I’d share that in case you end up needing a C-section. I was so scared, but I promise it’s not the worst 😂❤️

Lauren is so precious... I just became a surprise grandma September 30th. My daughter found out 3 weeks ago that she was around 5 weeks pregnant.. Well she went in Labor September 30th with a FULL term baby lol.. Perfectly healthy and beautiful baby girl Penelope Rae.. I'm so loving being a grandma.. ❤️

@@kristinccha yes we don't see how there was such a mistake in how far along she was.. she is actually my stepdaughter. Her mama didn't know she was pregnant until she went in labor also.. so it must be something that runs in their family lol... You couldn't even tell they were even pregnant..
I am so excited about Baby Samuel and this being Lauren and Matt's first baby and you and Gregg being first time Grandparents. If you have ever heard people say Grandchildren are a lot different than when you raised your children,It is all true.I would be very stressed and it was a learning process but now with Grandchildren I am a lot more patient and a lot less stressed now.I Live being a MiMi!!!

Awwe so happy for her! I remember the excitement of having our first and I thought I would burst with all the love I was feeling... Then the next came and it was even more special somehow (I think because I knew what was ahead and just how special it was the 1st time around) and my heart just expanded with even more love and now I am ready for a #3 lol but all in Gods timing!
My daughters have a ton of books. Including those Llama ones!💜 My husband and i love books ourselves and so special books are often a part of most holidays around here and we always write a note in the back so we remember when they got them and why 😊

Having acid reflux is such a struggle. When I was 7 months pregnant I was "eating" almost a roll of antacids. My Dr said you can use liquid antacid medicine. I have a very hard time with liquid medicine. The reason for all the acid reflux is my son was born with red hair. Old wise tale says the more hair the baby has the more the acid reflux will be. 😆 Fire red hair will do it. God bless and we can't wait for Samuel Dwight arrival

First baby i was organized, tired, mostly prepared,my husband and i would tag team work.

She looks like she’s going to be a great mommy. So much fun!! I just became a grandma to a little boy and oh wow it is an amazing feeling. Lauren please don’t use powder. It’s not necessary I never used it and actually know someone that passed from getting cancer from it. Family is still in the lawsuit. Just my opinion but I never saw e purpose of it. Best of luck!!
