Almost six years later and this is still my favorite routine of all time! The choreography is beautifully executed by Morgan on top of the phenomenal passes that she stuck!
So awesome! That double double was honestly one of the best I’ve ever seen in WAG! Great job Morgan!

Jhilton ... I think I'll be rooting for Morgan before Simone. Although I haven't watched anything recent from Simone. I still think that Morgan has a chance to out-do Simone though.

Jhilton 70 It’s going to be a death match. To make FX finals. Between Simone, Jade, & Morgan. They could legit go 1-2-3. They’re better than the Simone, Aly, Maggie team.
Appaddict01 Nah. Jade isn’t better than Aly yet. And Morgan certainly isn’t better than Maggie.
Let’s not downplay Aly and Maggie because something new and shiny has come along. Jade and Morgan need to up their level and consistency first.
Appaddict01 idk after seeing Simone has not only caught up to 2016 Simone, but surpassed her, fx, at the very least, will be the Simone show for 18 and possibly part of 19 until she pulls out all 4
That stuck double double gives me life. landing on the double pike was great too! Nice improvement from last year. If she works on controlling the other two landings, especially on the double lay, she will be unstoppable. But really clean for an upgraded routine already!

MaKayla Clark-Sol ... I think Morgan has a chance against her. Sure, Simone proved herself in the Olympics and many events over the years, but Morgan has be proving herself over and over again, getting stronger and stronger every time I watch her.
Melissa Wingfield No. if Simone is near her best. She will still have huge advantages on floor & vault. Both in difficulty & execution. Simone’s fast connections on beam. Probably, will put her father ahead of the field. Than she already was. The judges are hammering the girls, on slow connections.

I never would have guessed before the last olympics that Morgan would be the new star of USAG !! She has improved enormous amounts and deserves the success she is getting. It's also really refreshing to see a routine that's more graceful and elegant from the USA front runner. In the last quad the floor routines were so high energy and really entertaining but this choreography is just beautiful to watch. She reminds me of a perfect blend of Aly and Nastia, incredibly strong tumbling and beautiful dance. Congratulations Morgan!!

I love her floor exercise. That last pose is so cool. She seems to have improved as well. I'm so glad the Nassar scandal has not distracted these girls. They were great. Congrats Morgan!

Those little things like finger crawling and toe wiggling are such a nice touch to her dance. And, she's on point with the music all throughout her exercise. 😍

Excellent job here. I like the upgrade to the double layout instead of the piked full in on the 2nd pass. I always get nervous before her 3rd pass (she struggled with it throughout all of last year), but her landings on every pass were much better. Her tumbling also has more height and better form, even from Worlds just a short time ago. Well done.

Nice routine, can't wait to see her at worlds with a new routine. I thought she wasn't hitting her splits in training. I think it was the angle. Looks great.

Overall I like Morgan Hurd's floor routine. A fair criticism can be made in the interpretation. It's not bad. She does a good job overall however the interpretation of the music needs work. In particular, the interpretation of the music in her face. I hope the coaches work on that and not try to hide it in the choreography. In fact, doing so makes it painfully obvious. Look how much better the routine is in that first pass with the genuine smile matched to the light happy part of the music. Imagine if that smile in her first pass was always in the routine. The routine is just worlds better there. (Interpretation of the music is part of the code and reflected in the execution.)

Seriously this was not special at all. The girls at LSU do same difficulty and are much better. I think she is good though, but doesn’t have that wow factor.
Morgan is 10x more elegant and graceful than all those orange LSU girls
