Broo all I can really say is that this song is Lyrically Wise based on the alphabetical words that starts with A,B, C, and D on some of the verses.. using those words while still focusing on the topic of the song is wise 🫶
1. Regarding the text. Most likely, in this song she decided to experiment with aliteration. 2. About the fact that she is trying to imitate a child, this is partly the essence of the album. According to the timeline, her character is a toddler.
I take it as a satire almost, this song is clearly about mansplaining so in the lyrics she’s kind of making fun of this guy that thinks he knows it all…. Even as a baby learning the alphabet with the aaaabbbbb sounds. She also did a very good job with the alliterations on the verses following the alphabet order..
The songs about someone teaching her things she already knows an acting like there smarter then her. She’s mimicking a child because it’s part of the storyline and cause the person looks down at her like a little kid that doesn’t know anything.
dead to me and bittersweet tragedy pleaseee 🙏 also her tattoos are real she has a lot inspired by different things in her life, one i find interesting is the bunny. She had a pet bunny and then her family got a dog and told her to give the bunny to a friend who already had a bunny. Basically the friend left the bunnies alone for hours and when they came back Melanies old bunny was somehow headless... so yeah she got that to honour her bunny Whinnie. Thats also where she got the inspiration for the bunny doctors in her videos
you're gonna be taken aback by the "babyish" aspect of the song if you don't know melanie and realize that the majority of her career has been basically playing an age regressed character, talking about things she dealt with growing up like abuse, bullying, eating disorders, etc. also, this song specifically is about an arrogant guy she dated who tried to make her feel dumb based on his academic accomplishments. the line "watch me get big now" isn't literally about her growing, it's about telling him how she's going to end up even more successful than he is. it's a diss track. the whole "playground" metaphor seems smart to me, not silly or like a "parody" as you said.
