Salam Guys, I love my father and brother, I have a great relationship with them. Their questions are completely valid, it's the same questions I had before I accept Islam. It's kind enough for them to sit and watch a 10 minute video, but they went out of their way to watch an 1 hour and 30 minute video. I appreciate all of you tuning in, but just keep in mind that they really don't have to react to anything at all and can choose to be closed minded. Discussion is better than blatant ignorance and arrogance and can lead to learning a thing or two. Of course, I would love if my family accepted Islam, but you have to remember, there is no compulsion in religion and Allah(swt) guides who he wills. I do believe that it's part of my duty as a son and friend to give dawah to my family and friends, for them to know the truth, but there is only so much I can do. Thanks again, and may Allah(swt) guide us.
@@JulianLearns Waaleikum Assalam, Absolutely agreed upon! It’s heartwarming to see that both your dad and brother are even giving you the benefit of the doubt and truly trying to comprehend what Islam brings forth and why is it superior to the previous scriptures which came prior to the revelation of the Quran. The dad has noor (light) in him may Allah Azza Wa Jal open up his heart to the straight path and your whole family of course amiin Islam is not compulsory, as the Quran states in verse 256 of Al-Baqara, "There is no compulsion in religion". u cannot change the heart of a disbeliever even if its your own family or close friend, even if u have so much love for them. no matter what u say or do, it is by the will of God to open their hearts to the truth.
Show your dad the video of Sheikh Yusuf Estes and his story on why he converted to Islam. He was a priest. May Allah guide your father and your brother to the truth inshallah 🤲
Your father always says Islam content just the same with christian, but he doesn't know anything about christian.. when he lose argument, he say i dont know, but keep say it is the same.. how ridiculous it is.. he keeps feeling right by stand on "i dont know".. i found a lot of "aha" moment when saw this lecture.. mindblowing..
😊😊😊That's such a beautiful approach! Encouraging your dad and brother to share their thoughts and sincere opinions is such a healthy and respectful way to explore the truth together. With open hearts and mutual respect, who knows? Your family might find their way to Islam sooner than you think. Wishing you all the best on this journey! 😊
Please have your father and brother talk to the muslim lantern. They need someone who has proofs and religious knowledge because they just aren't trusting what you are saying even if it makes sense.
They have not yet achieved sincerity in searching for the truth in order to discuss the Muslim lantern. Currently, they argue without knowledge and do not allow Julian to explain Islam to them. They did not even watch the video in order to learn from it. Because they are blind fanatics of Christianity they need to watch watch Ibn al-Qayyim al-Jawziyya’s poem To Christians, because it explains to them that the attributes of God in Christianity are not commensurate with the greatness of the Creator.
I mean, if your dad wants someone who did that change and actually studied both religions, many people are out there, Yusuf Estes, Sheikh Uthman and many more, all the knowledge is out there, you just gotta look my brothers. And there are people like the Muslim lantern who are really good too, not to mention you can actually contact some of them, it is possible, Muslim lantern specially.
This is hard to watch. My dad used to be this difficult and i was too young, too emotional and most probably didnt know enough to be able to counter all my dad’s points. I think he was frustrated at how i couldnt handle myself because obviuosly im his daughter and im not making logical sense . One time he just jumped in when i was trying to make an argument and made the argument for me. Somewhere along the way he decided he didnt want to talk about religion at all. It still makes me sad because my dad is a clever guy. If those conversations had kept going, im pretty sure having to go back to research and get answers and overcome my emotional side we would have found ourselves better people. As it is we’ve drifted apart. Our conversations are limited to humdrum inconsequential things. So eventhough this video seems a frustrating thing to watch, its 1000 times better than what i have going on with my dad. If his dad is sincere, conversations like this just dig in closer to the truth. May Allah give him and us all hidayah.
Brother Julian... I would suggest you to invite Muslim lantern in your channel then discuss everything your father and brother wants to discuss with.... sometime you know what happens the people who are close and dear to you , don't value you regardless whatever you tell them. also show them verse for reference its better.
May Allah always bless you, brother, what you are doing is extraordinary, I just want to share a little experience, many Muslims read Al Quran, but they will not have the same understanding as westerners who study Al Quran, A simple example is what Jeffry Lang tries to convey about Qs 2-30 and so on about Adam and the devil, Three conclusions that were gathered by Jeffry about suffering, I just got that from him,2:30 is a simple thing where our goal as humans is born to lead, lead ourselves, lead the family and lead the world to invite goodness, That's what I got about 2:30, while the next verse for me is just the history of the prophet Adam and the devil, nothing more than that. When I listened to Jeffry Lang, I gained knowledge, New insight, so basically I just want to say when you say that the Quran is a miracle because Muslims agree, it is a common thing because they believe in it, But only a few Muslims can prove the miracle of the Quran, the simplest thing is that we often hear that the Quran has not changed and the proof is only because the Quran is guarded by The memorizers, This will be difficult for other people to accept, therefore the proof is the verses of Al Quran itself, If they are too lazy to read, there are already many summaries of the miracles in Al Quran on TH-cam videos, Maybe you can invite your family to listen to one of the videos about it, sorry I can't put a description of the video,
Assalamu alaikum brother Julian, please make a video conference with, Muhammad Ali or Ali dawah or sheik uthman any of them, they will try to clear all doubts of your father. Insha Allah
Allah taught Prophet Adam (peace be upon him) a very comprehensive du’a, the essence of which is seeking the forgiveness of Allah, which in turn allows us to become closer to Allah, receive provision from Allah, and additionally brings ease and tranquillity into our lives. Through this test that Prophet Adam (peace be upon him) faced, we are now able to make the same du’a that Allah taught him so we can also seek the forgiveness of Allah and be successful in this world and next, إن شاء الله
You are doing good my brother Julian Learn more about Islam, go for it learn a lot u have the message of God that create everything be patient with others and remember all the time Allah is with you May Allah give u the strongest and the patience
"I bet you", "I guess" "I believe" etc but no proof from the dad and his brother. The questions he asked you can also be directed to himself. "you can show me whatever you want" it is not the eyes that are blind but the heart.
You should look for the channel “the Muslim lantern” people live call him as well. And also he needs to talk to some more knowledgeable person like Sheik Uthman, brother Hashim from “the Speaker’s corner” and the guy from the Muslim lantern. And please show him the video “ the Meaning of life “ by Muslim spoken word !!
Abdullah Ibn ‘Abbas (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “If anyone constantly seeks pardon (from Allah), Allah will appoint for him a way out of every distress and a relief from every anxiety, and will provide sustenance for him from where he expects not.”
Allah mentions in the Qur’an, in Surah Nuh, Chapter 71, Verses 10 to 12: “And I said, ‘Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Indeed, He is ever a Perpetual Forgiver. He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in [continuing] showers, And give you increase in wealth and children and provide for you gardens and provide for you rivers.”
julian you are a great person with a avery strong personality, you are doing great, may allah guide your brother and your father, they still need help but you are the best who can do it, i cant imagine myself in your situation. you are a great person indeed
Your dad is awesome 🤣. Everytime you cornered him he says I haven't read that or I don't know this but you are wrong hahahaha. Your dad needs someone who can clarify all this for him, someone like the Muslim lantern aka Muhammad Ali. Unless your dad want to study on his own 🤔
He loves his father and does not want his fate to be the fire of hell. He wants to convert his family to Islam, but his father does not accept to listen to him, and this is a problem.
Masha Allah son, your thinking is correct. This is what should be done, which is to invite loved ones to Islam and have a lot of patience because as you said, Allah is the one who guides. I want to remind you to pray for them in your prayers and outside of them that Allah opens their hearts and enlightens their minds with Islam, and we also pray with you for them, for us, and for all of His creation. Amen.
May Allah guide your family ❤️ keep on the dawah, you’re doing great I suggest that you make your dad n brother write the top questions they have, and then you can search for answers or videos that answers these confusion ( the muslim lantern , a youtube channel that deals with the common questions by non muslims)
If you argue with Jews about religion then the argument will develop and you will agree with each other, but if you argue with Christians then they will always see the difference because their understanding of monotheism is problematic, they cannot feel pure monotheism that's why the debate will not be completed
“Every son of Adam commits sin, and the best of those who commit sin are those who repent.” 1 While seemingly counterintuitive, this profound statement from the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is a cornerstone in the understanding of repentance (tawba) within the framework of Islamic theology. Much can be gleaned from these few words; perhaps the most striking question is how one in a continual state of sin and repentance can at the very same time be regarded as the best of humanity? This question is even more significant given the darkness and negativity often associated with sin within our collective imagination, an association that is likely the result of a fusion of religious doctrine and encounters with culture, folklore, mythology, and literature such as Dante’s Inferno. Haunting special effects depicting scenes of the journey to the underworld, often used to characterize man’s fall from grace into an abyss, distant from redemption, further contribute to this view. Yet, one of the defining characteristics of tawba is that it in fact enables one to attain a more righteous outcome and noble standing with God.
In discussions, it's helpful to introduce perspectives like those of Sheikh Othman. Sometimes, opening one's mind is the first step before diving into deeper conversations.
Say (O Muhammad Peace be upon him to the Jews and Christians), "Dispute you with us about Allah while He is our Lord and your Lord? And we are to be rewarded for our deeds and you for your deeds. And we are sincere to Him in worship and obedience (i.e. we worship Him Alone and none else, and we obey His Orders)." Holy Quran
Brother Julian, you'll need to always remember Ibrahim (AS) is surat Maryam the way he interacted with his father, always speaking kind and truthful words to him regarding the religious matter. From what I've seen, he's not listening to reflect / ponder about your arguments, rather he's listening to argue. The gentleman in the middle, in the same way, probably influenced by his gf from what I've understood ... So have patience with them, because they speak from a place of ignorance and need to deconstruct a lot of what they've been taught, knowledge and reflection wise. Also, i would highly suggest you didn't agree with them for the sake of argument. What i mean by that is whenever you put out an argument to them, they would always tell you "yeah but i'd bet you anything that christians or jews could do / say the same..." and you were like "ok but...", you need to be firm, and affirm that it isn't the case. Also, the bible and the torah aren't the Ingeel and Towrat corrupted, at best they're corrupted versions of hearsays, not of the original scriptures given to Moussa and Issa (AS). Have patience and pray for them, remember that it is only Allah that guides whom ever he wills to him.
Salamu Alaikum brother, may allah reward you for sharing the deen with your family. However i believe your approach is influenced too heavily by all the debate videos, you don't have to argue every point, take it slow and keep it simple in the beginning.
you need to ask your father. firstly why he chose to become a Christian, secondly why he believes in Christian teachings. then you can explain why Islam makes more sense than Christianity
And do not argue with the People of the Scripture except in a way that is best, except for those who commit injustice among them. And say, ‘We believe in that which has been revealed to us and revealed to you. And our God and your God is one; and we are Muslims [in submission] to Him.’” (Surah Al-Ankabut, 29:46).
To non muslims : give Qur'an a fair chance to read, stop by Muslim Lantern youtube channel livestreams and have friendly fruitful discussions insya Allah. We invite you to Islam.
That's a tough discussion. Better ask your dad to Speaker Corner and Meet Mansur, DawahWise All of his questions are actually been asked by many other Christian And keep praying for your Dad and brother may Allah gives them hidayah
Adam and Hawaa (Eve) both made this supplication after the devil deceived them into eating from a specific tree in Paradise, which Allah had instructed them to not go near. “Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers.” Surah A’raaf verse 23 Allah, out of His Mercy, taught Adam (peace be upon him) this du’a and by extension, taught us how to repent to Allah after we fall into sin. By admitting to Allah alone that we fell into the sin and asking Him to forgive us. Among the virtues of asking Allah to forgive us is that He will increase us in our provision, bestow His mercy on us, and help us find solutions for our problems. Most of all, He loves when we turn back to Him.

Whenever I called them to Your forgiveness, they thrust their fingers into their ears, and wrapped themselves in their garments, and insisted, and became more and more arrogant." (Quran Sura Nuh 71:5-7)
Connect your dad to someone knowledgeable, if you want the meeting online. Then connect him to someone like the Muslim Lantern. You don't have enough knowledge to convince your dad alone tbh. You need more knowledge & experience.
JULIAN, may Allah Sobhano bless you and keep you steadfast InshaAllah, show your family love and respect . Remember that Allah is the only one that can turn their hearts into submission. Keep learning, sending my salam to you from Australia. 😊😊😊
This was a great video, do more videos with dad! InshaAllah he will be guided. Im also impressed by your knowledge as a revert.
I hope the best for you... and your family find the truth... aamiin...
Brother Julian please bring you brother and dad on to The muslim Lantern live stream ,there they can ask any questions they have learn a lot about Islam vs other religions ,The muslim Lantern is very knowledgeable and good at speaking to people with difficult questions 👍
Looking forward to see a video of your dad reading the Bible .. Will love to see his reaction on Amalek 😅
You guys should definitely join The Muslim Lantern when he live streams. If you have any questions, you can ask him and Insha'Allah you will get your answers.
Bless you guys :)
Asalamalaikum from New Jersey, Julian 🇺🇸 You all love each other and it shows. May Allah reward you for continuing to make the effort and give dawah to your dad and brother. They seem to be on the defensive due to Islamophobia I suppose, but please stay persistent and make lots of dua as well. Only Allah guides whom He wills. May Allah bless you, increase you in beneficial knowledge, and keep you firm on this beautiful, pure deen. And, may Allah guide your dad and bro to this deen too. Ameen 🤲☝️🕋
respect to your dad for saying the truth about Palestine at least, but may Allah guide him he's definitely ignorant about Islam
Your dad he says he don't know but every thing he hear he says is nothing new, and he crush every point
God bless you young man. You're on your way to be the best you can, that's embracing Islam.
May God give you & your family guidance to the right path.. ❤
Allah help you w ur family ameen
Julian I love your knowledge brother
@@gladiatorjam3594 absolutely
I love these types of discussions 💪💯😎. I want to see you dad talk to Muslim lantern. Also your brother need to talk to Muslim lantern also. That would be lit👍
u cannot change the heart of a disbeliever even if its your own family or close friend, even if u have so much love for them. no matter what u say or do, it is by the will of God to open their hearts to the truth.
Your father needs to watch Towards eternity youtube channel. They posted many revert/convert stories of people. All arr amazing strories.
Masyaallah. Subhanallah. Alhamdullillah. May Allah swt guide us all and protect us all.
Hi julian , i advice u to show ur family some videos of our brother Muhammad Ali how have a channel called "the Muslim lantern", good luck ❤
Masha'Allah you did a wonderful job with your Da'wah! Also, reach to Ahmed Deedat please!
Insha Allah
Your dad is super skeptical, these discussions can only be held with some basic knowledge
May Allah guide us all to paradise, ameen
If u don’t know something then
“IQRA” (READ)first word of Quran 😊
You should look for the channel “the Muslim lantern” people live call him as well. And also he needs to talk to some more knowledgeable person like Sheik Uthman, brother Hashim from “the Speaker’s corner” and the guy from the Muslim lantern. And please show him the video “ the Meaning of life “ by Muslim spoken word !!
may allah guide them ameen
Abdullah Ibn ‘Abbas (May Allah be pleased with him) said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “If anyone constantly seeks pardon (from Allah), Allah will appoint for him a way out of every distress and a relief from every anxiety, and will provide sustenance for him from where he expects not.”
Allah mentions in the Qur’an, in Surah Nuh, Chapter 71, Verses 10 to 12:
“And I said, ‘Ask forgiveness of your Lord.
Hidayah is hard to earn..may Allah grant it to ur dad and brother❤
Your dad is awesome 🤣. Everytime you cornered him he says I haven't read that or I don't know this but you are wrong hahahaha. Your dad needs someone who can clarify all this for him, someone like the Muslim lantern aka Muhammad Ali. Unless your dad want to study on his own 🤔
if i talk to my dad like that, he will smack me without hesitate for sure. i think you need to be more patience brother
He loves his father and does not want his fate to be the fire of hell. He wants to convert his family to Islam, but his father does not accept to listen to him, and this is a problem.
😂😂😂
What did he say that was incorrect ?
father is emotional 😂😂😂
Masha Allah son, your thinking is correct. This is what should be done, which is to invite loved ones to Islam and have a lot of patience because as you said, Allah is the one who guides. I want to remind you to pray for them in your prayers and outside of them that Allah opens their hearts and enlightens their minds with Islam, and we also pray with you for them, for us, and for all of His creation. Amen.
May Allah guide your family ❤️ keep on the dawah, you’re doing great
I suggest that you make your dad n brother write the top questions they have, and then you can search for answers or videos that answers these confusion
( the muslim lantern , a youtube channel that deals with the common questions by non muslims)
If you argue with Jews about religion then the argument will develop and you will agree with each other, but if you argue with Christians then they will always see the difference because their understanding of monotheism is problematic, they cannot feel pure monotheism that's why the debate will not be completed
“Every son of Adam commits sin, and the best of those who commit sin are those who repent.”
1
While seemingly counterintuitive, this profound statement from the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is a cornerstone in the understanding of repentance (tawba) within the framework of Islamic theology.
There are so many videos on „towards eternity“ channel of stories of priests and preachers etc. reverting and their revert stories
Say (O Muhammad Peace be upon him to the Jews and Christians), "Dispute you with us about Allah while He is our Lord and your Lord? And we are to be rewarded for our deeds and you for your deeds. And we are sincere to Him in worship and obedience (i.e. we worship Him Alone and none else, and we obey His Orders)."
Holy Quran
Big applause👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 for u
And do not argue with the People of the Scripture except in a way that is best, except for those who commit injustice among them. And say, ‘We believe in that which has been revealed to us and revealed to you. And our God and your God is one; and we are Muslims [in submission] to Him.’” (Surah Al-Ankabut, 29:46).
To non muslims : give Qur'an a fair chance to read, stop by Muslim Lantern youtube channel livestreams and have friendly fruitful discussions insya Allah. We invite you to Islam.
That's a tough discussion.
Better ask your dad to Speaker Corner and Meet Mansur, DawahWise
All of his questions are actually been asked by many other Christian
And keep praying for your Dad and brother may Allah gives them hidayah
Ask Dad if can point a single Imam or Islamic scholar that became Christian or atheist 😅😅 much love and respect to all of you❤.
May Allah SWT guide us to the right path ^^ Please stay healthy and blessed :)
The person who argues the most hopefully will be guided
Adam and Hawaa (Eve) both made this supplication after the devil deceived them into eating from a specific tree in Paradise, which Allah had instructed them to not go near.
“Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers.” Surah A’raaf verse 23
Allah, out of His Mercy, taught Adam (peace be upon him) this du’a and by extension, taught us how to repent to Allah after we fall into sin. By admitting to Allah alone that we fell into the sin and asking Him to forgive us. Among the virtues of asking Allah to forgive us is that He will increase us in our provision, bestow His mercy on us, and help us find solutions for our problems. Most of all, He loves when we turn back to Him.
