Hotel Tour: Marriott in Boston Copley

- This will be a tour of the Marriott Hotel in Boston Copley in Boston, Massachusetts. This is one of my favorite hotels I have ever stayed in! I like how it connects the Copley Place Mall and the Prudential Center Mall on the 2nd floor. I also like how the elevators are destionation dispatch elevators, in which you select the floor outside the elevator instead of inside, and you don’t have up/down buttons. It’s kinda like the Miconic 10 elevators at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square, which I am also looking to film a hotel tour of. It’s also interesting to see the buildings’ shadows out the window on the top floor. There also used to be an arcade near the health club on the 5th floor. Sadly it is gone, but this still a great hotel! I have stayed in this hotel several times in my life, though not in a really long time until this month. At first I was unsure about filming a tour of this hotel, but the night I stayed, I asked a security guard if I could do one, and the guard told me not to go film anywhere above level 2, so I decided not to do one. But then the next morning, when I noticed levels 3 and 4 were open, I changed my mind and decided to film this tour and I am glad I did.
At 8:05, a security guard came up to me and started a conversation:

SECURITY GUARD: “How are you doing, my friend?”
ME: “Good. I’m… yeah, I’m good.”
SECURITY GUARD: “Are you staying here? Are you staying in the hotel?”
ME: “I am staying here.”
SECURITY GUARD: “You staying here?”
ME: “Yeah.”
SECURITY GUARD: “So you just like to videotape?”
ME: “Yeah, there’s like a whole community on TH-cam. For… people do hotel tours and put them on TH-cam.”
SECURITY GUARD: “Oh yeah? Alright. So how long do you think you are gonna be doing this?”
ME: “Um, 30 minutes, usually.”
SECURITY GUARD: “Yeah?”
ME: “Yeah.”
SECURITY GUARD: “Yeah, because I just want to let you know you can’t be going in the meeting space. Okay? We have some meeting going on, so don’t go to the meeting rooms. Alright?”
ME: “Alright.”
SECURITY GUARD: “Alright. I know you’re staying here. What’s your room number?”
ME: “2617.”
SECURITY GUARD: “Alright, thank you sir.”

At least the guard was not as embarrasing as the one who talked to me when I filmed a tour of the Lord & Taylor store in Scarsdale, NY. He didn’t even tell me to leave the 3rd floor (which was the floor I was on when he talked to me), so I figured he just did not want me to go inside the meeting rooms but I could still check out the 3rd floor. He did not tell me to stop filming either, which is good.
Just stayed here. Hotel was fully remodeled, and it looks real good

If only I could get the Sugar Rush racer cosplays to stop and take a look at me instead of just walking by. There's nothing that I wouldn't do for them to notice that I'm alive.
I wonder what it would be like if three guests dressed as Sugar Rush racers Taffyta, Rancis, and Candlehead came to stay at the Boston Marriott Copley Place?
I’d be a bit excited if I saw those racer cosplays, but a bit hesitant to approach.
