@@ammo4uragingjudge559 We all have our machines that freak us out a bit. This handheld saw or the 12” DeWalt is a good starting point to become familiar with chainsaws. I now feel confident using a bigger model. PS, it’s an addictive tool much like my power washer. 😂
Excellent Review Jenny! The slo-mo shot was COOL! I'm glad you used the saw on limb that used the entire bar & chain. I have the Ryobi 6" Pruning saw and I never found a review of anyone pushing the saw to its limits. I used the 6" Ryobi to cut an 9" limb, having to turn limb and cut from both sides. The Ryobi is Excellent with over 45 minutes of cutting using one 18V battery with half battery life. This saw doesn't look too bad for the money. Thanks for the review! 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks for the comment and input, Chris! I also push my DeWalt 12 inch to the limit cutting halfway flipping and then cutting the other half. This little pruner is good for the price for people that are new to chainsaws or just need it on occasion
I also have the Ryobi saw. These tiny saws feel like toys but they are helpful in some use. Like cutting stubborn branches, eg when climbing higher to tree where it might be difficult to use two hand chainsaw. Just be carefull. These do not have kickback protection and they cut fingers very nicely. (But yeah, mine still intact.)
Interesting and helpful review. There is now a later/upgraded model that has 4000Ah batteries (2x the ones here) with power level indicators. Also, it has an oil reservior with a primer to lubricate the chain. I have used a similar mini chainsaw now for about 30/40 hours over two weeks and renewed the chain twice (they are inexpensive). The demo shows how the chain is tensioned but the lock nut needs to be loosened to do this, then re-tightened. Unfortunately, the model I have (Handwise), looks very similar but the safety trigger has now stopped working correctly and the machine sometimes stays on, so rather dangerous. However, the above 30/40 hrs would have cost a fortune for someone else to do, so I have recovered my costs and some. Despite Amazon (UK) having a 30 days returns window, they have agreed to refund my purchase in full (bought 5/6 weeks ago), so I will be buying the new Seesii model. It's £67 in the UK ($79). Cutting 1"-2" branches and twigs, I found the 4k batteries lasted for about 1 hour (perhaps 30/35 mins actual cutting time). However, if you cut 3"-6" branches/logs, the battery drains very quickly, and they do take a full 3-hours to re-charge. As seen in the demo, the saw can kickback, so it takes a bit of practice to minimise that. Would I buy again, absolutely, excellent piece of kit.
@@ianoldfield2598 Thank you for your input! I had to look up Handwise as I’m unfamiliar with that brand. It looks very similar to my Seesii mini chainsaw. I hope you have better luck with the new model, although like you said, it’s still cheaper than hiring someone. I appreciate your comment, others might find it helpful too.
Thank you for your review. I have a similar unit. Came with pretty much the same additions, except the brush and spare chain. I do not believe i have the light. I do have to keep tightening the chain. But it does the job so the big saw dies not need to be used. See wheree youbget wood for some of your projects. Thank you for sharing. Thank you for your review but I'm still not clear, do we have to keep the safety switch down in addition to having our hand on the trigger? Or do we see simply have it down to start the saw and then release it.Thank you...
Wow a B+, that's not bad. I recently received the CH600+ model. The batteries there do have power leds. Setting up the chain is more difficult though, although I did figure it out in the end. With that in mind, if your review merits a B+ then I reckon the CH600+ is worth an A. It has an internal oil resovoir also that holds 30 ml, I don't know how much that is in 'American' though. Good review! :-)
I have a Remington pole chain saw. Always have issues with the chain loosening up. Have seen these and would like to go cordless. However, many of the reviews seem to be critical of the battery life and runtime. Using my DeWalt recip saw with a pruning blade has been working out OK. Just make sure your cutting close to the pivot shoe of the tool. Thanks for reviewing it, Jen.
I have a Remington...but it's not a pole saw. lol This pruner lasted a good 20 minutes and at least there's a backup if you want to continue to work. I also used my reciprocating saw to prune before I got my 12" chainsaw, it will do the work in a pinch but I often felt like I was punishing it on thicker branches.

@@gloriasilence Hi Gloria, yes! You have to press the safety lock with your thumb while also squeezing the trigger. It’s designed to naturally fit the contour of your right hand. See 7 minute mark.
@@Jennyfromtheshop Thank you so much, Jenny... That seems like it would be hard for me to do as I feel pretty weak lately... I hope to find one that does not require both... I know Saker doesn't require holding down the safety during use but I was hoping to try another brand... Again, thank you for your reply...🤗
I seriously have no clue what you’re talking about with the positive review comment. And free? This video took about three days to film and produce, my time is valuable and so is my following. Just curious? Do you think if using grease on the bar would be better? Also, noticed that no kickback from the saw, which is a plus. Amazed that came with everything that is needed for that especially the files. As always, thanks for the preview, Jennifer. ❤😊 🪚
Hi David! I don’t know about using grease, I think the manual only mentioned chainsaw oil. I’m amazed at all the extras they included too, that earned extra credit.😅
That is definitely handy for the smaller jobs and/or one who doesn't feel comfortable using a larger chainsaw. Thanks for sharing!
Exactly! Anyone can safely use this. Thanks for watching, Ed.
Just bought the wife the mini dewalt saw. She loves it, she’ll operate excavators, haul trucks and tractors but normally hates chainsaws.
