Great chat with Tash & Joe, The Opal Hunters. When I was in Winton in '22, I purchased a gorgeous pair of dark blue opal earrings from them, as well as the obligatory t-shirt. Brought them back with me to Canada and wear both proudly! Thanks for this great video....I visited most of the places you featured.

Well that brought back some memories- some that I had forgotten until now. I only had two bad memories there(we stayed at the park next to yours when the managers had left and nothing had been cleaned for weeks and everything was yellow from the sulphur in the water. The other was humiliating myself at the musical fence one rainy day.
Guys, you've missed another gem in Winton. Oondooroo Sheep Cattle Station. It's a magical place and you learn heaps out there. It's only about 25 ks east of Winton. A great history place.
The trouble with so called youtube influences like your self is apart from the $2 you mentioned for the pool you fail to say what things cost wast of time watching

We loved everything about Winton! Can’t wait to get back there one day soon!
We also stayed at the Long Water hole. A beautiful place beside the natural billabong with lots of birdlife.
Winton has so much to see, we will definitely go back there.

Ouch! Loved our time in Longreach too and it was actually our first stay this time around - we also headed out to Opalton… now that’s a wild place 🙌
