It has a vibe of him chasing a poor "patient" around the hospital to "treat" their injuries.
Mundo resonates so many energies: silly, funny, stupid, happy, sad, crazy, terrifying. It’s so weird both loving, sympathizing and fearing a character like this
100% agree. When I here his voicelines, I feel like he isn’t such a bad guy, just some innocent child playing pretend. But the thing is, the child was experimented on, forgot everything, and became a literal sociopathic murderer. So yeah, all the feelings you have described are very accurate
I just tried him in a bot game to just try him out, and when he said that line it caught me off guard too, the way he says it so naturally and almost naively and innocent it kinda breaks my heart.

I like this because, it perfectly contrasts attitude in the way he sees it vs what he's really doing. In his head he's a doctor willing to help, really funny and great to be around with but in reality.. no.. you lay down in one of his operating tables and that's the last rest you'll ever have.. His view of the world around him is extremely different from what Zaun really sees him as.
Zaun must not be a very nice place at night. It is a steampunk city with lots of poverty, the Chemical Barons, and guys like Dr. Mundo, Singed, Urgot and Jinx at large. It really tells something about the city one of the main heroic characters who hunt criminals there is Warwick, a chimeric werewolf with Hextec on his body.

I love that his theme is menacing and horrifying but has random lapses that almost feels like the song can't pay attention and gets distracted. Perfectly encapsulates our goofy murder hobo who doesn't realize he's doing anything wrong.
Probably didn't want to change the champion identity too much. It's not a new champion after all. The hand mundo is a sick idea but would probably be better as a new champion instead of a rework.
They are much more careful with reworks after what they did to Aatrox. All of those concepts were amazing, but weren't really the dumb pink mass of meat we knew. This Mundo is just a little more handsome and a bit more cohesive then the last one.

The new Mundo is 100% a well made VU, but I don't feel like his champion theme can be felt with how he looks, only if you read his lore. I disagree. For every player, there is at least one champ who is fun to play. Dr. Mundo is that champion for you. The champion for me is actually not just one, but a few dozens of them, Dr. Mundo included.

I think one of Silco's goon orr test subjects is Mundo? Not deckard since mundo works as a body guard and also willing to put his body for science and maybe he got addicted to shimmer so much that he forgot his memories like Vander which he never recalls his memories after being turned to warwick (Theory for Vander)

I'm upset that Mundo's theme doesn't include him saying "Doot-Doo-Doo-Doot" like in the voice lines
Love how every concept art of him was on the horror side and then the finished design was a questionably good looking monster-like dude... The new Mundo is 100% a well made VU, but I don't feel like his champion theme can be felt with how he looks, only if you read his lore. This theme is way too scary for a champion that doesn't look scary at all imo.
I guess they wanted him to look like his old self, yet changed in mind and body. A distant memory of what his sane self used to be.
