"Ranger's fans you're not dreaming" Eric nailed that call because I literally felt like I was dreaming. Like we're not supposed to experience this victory. But when Semien hit that final homerun, it felt like all the demons were exercised, and we could finally hold the trophy. We finally, finally got the last strike of the season
man this put a huge smile on my face. I lost my dad 5 years ago and he would be absolutely losing his mind if he were here. truly a special world series win
Hope your Dad gets to see my thoughts... Yes, I remember balling my eyes out as little boy when Steve Buechele got traded, cheering on Julio Franco, Ruben Sierra, & Juan Gonzalez, watching Pudge's 1st ever game on tv, hearing Nolan Ryan's 5000 while at Red Bird Mall, lots of bad years of baseball, always being thrilled to see that one Ranger appear in the All Star game, my heart broken in 2011, hear sh!t from cocky Cowboy fans for decades, and this night sport tears filled my eyes. When I heard/saw Mike Maddux get interviewed after the win, real tears flowed down my face So happy to see that huge smile on your Dad's face
That's how I reacted. I didn't see the last two outs. I went to my car and listened and taped Nadel. I grew up listening to Dick Risenhoover. I had to listen to Eric Nadel. Mark Holtz was there in spirit. When he called that last strike, I reacted like dad here. No yelling. In offical NFL Film of Super Bowl VI, the great narrator John Facenda said the Cowboys didn't celebrate with a loud yell, but with a sigh of relief. I couldn't believe the words I was hearing Nadel say. It was like we were the dog that caught the car: what do we do now? It's been a weak and I've listend and watched videos everyday. It's still sinking in.
48 year old Rangers fan here, who has been following the Rangers since 1988. Like your dad, I can finally release all the bitterness of 2011 and the suffering of so many years of futile campaigns. I am still getting goosebumps every time I see video of the final strike. Give your pops some extra love on behalf of a fellow longtime Rangers fan.
I'm a longtime Ranger fan that endured bad baseball with sprinkle of good baseball here and there. I was in so much shock that I didn't react to much. Finally it hit me, I baseball cried the day after listening to Eric Nadel emotional recap of his feelings the past 45 years.
I have been a TEXAS RANGERS fan since July of 1990 Because of 1 man the AWESOME JUAN GONZALEZ And I Have hated The Yankees All my life.I'm from HOLLIS QUEENS NEW YORK CITY And have always been a NEW YORK METS fan And a TEXAS RANGERS FAN But the METS have already won 2 world series championships so my focus and concentration have been with the RANGERS.Everybody always would ask me Why do you love the TEXAS RANGERS from N.Y.C And I would say because thats my team thats my organization And I have been Loyal For 33 years I have been through all the ups and all the downs the 1990s when we were eliminated all those years by the Yankees Then losing the world series to the GIANTS in 2010 and so heart breaking to the CARDINALS in 2011 But this 2023 season We put it all together WE SHOULD HAVE WON THE AL WEST BUT THE DAMN ASTROS WON IT THE FINAL DAY OF THE REGULAR SEASON I Was So Pissed When We lost to the SEATTLE MARINERS BUT WE KICKED MAJOR ASS IN THE POST SEASON AND AT 11:01 on November 1st 2023 It was official OUR TEXAS RANGERS WERE FINALLY WORLD SERIES CHAMPS AND MYSELF AS WELL AS ALL TEXAS RANGERS FANS NOT JUST HERE IN THE US BUT AROUND THE WORLD CAN PROCLAIM WE ARE NUMBER 1 I KNOW I WROTE A LOT BUT I HAD TO TELL MY STORY THANK YOU MY FELLOW TEXAS RANGERS FANS HEY LET'S DO IT AGAIN NEXT YEAR EVERYTHING IS IN PLACE TO DO SO LET'S BRING BACK TO BACK TO GLOBE LIFE FIELD IN ARLINGTON TEXAS PEACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
💛💛💛 as a ten-toes-down fan myself, we earned every inch of this. This video encapsulates how all of us Rangers' feel right now even a month after they won the whole thing. We appreciate you uploading this!
As a 45 year old Indians/Guardians fan, and still waiting for my first championship. This made me happy. Congrats and enjoy it. This Texas team was fun to watch.
@@jesseprather8317 their last title was in 1948. Way before my time. I’ve seen them come as close as you can and not win. 2 extra inning game 7 loses are brutal.
I felt the same way as a Texas rangers fan since 1979 it was just priceless no words can describe I sat in silence staring at television peace brother 👍
I'm 58 years old and I started following the Rangers when I was 11 years old. I've seen players from Jim Sundberg (my first favorite Ranger) and Al Oliver to Kenny Rogers and Steve Buechele. I've witnessed championships for the Cowboys, the Stars, and the Mavericks, but have longed for the Rangers to win. 2011 was torture and I cannot watch any show on that Series, especially Game 6. Words cannot express the joy!
Congratulations my friend! We’ll deserved and earned! Red Sox Nation celebrates the realization of a dream for you and your club! Congratulations again Rangers and Ranger fans. You have a champion to be truly proud of.
Even as a Dbacks fan, this puts a smile on my face. I am fortunate enough to remember when the Dbacks won our only major championship in state history back in '01. To see a longtime fan finally get to watch their team pull it off, especially after suffering probably the most brutal loss in history back in 2011 is great to see. Every fan should get to watch their team win one championship. Hopefully the Dbacks can do it again in the next few years but this year belonged to the Rangers and their fans. Of course I will cry ugly ass crocodile tears when my first sports love, the Suns, finally win their championship.
That's great stuff. I'm 51 as well. I remember as far back as Dave Stewart and Odell Jones pitching, how cool Billy Sample's batting stance was, and Gary Ward being the best hitter on the team. We've seen some stuff no doubt. Thanks for sharing that!
Been a ranger ran since '96. Their first pennent in 2010 was maybe more exciting because of the history with the Yankees but this run was more satisfying and unexpected. Especially since they had to go through Houston and not alot of people though they could. The feeling of that final backwards k was like a weight was lifted, as a fan
First off I need to say God Bless Bruce Bochy for taking his time to manage the Texas Rangers! It looked like he had magic dust for his Rangers to believe in him. I laid on the couch watching game 5 praying for the Rangers to pull this off and win. It took me a while for it to sink in they are the world champions. Eric Nadel is a great spokesman for the Rangers. Congratulations to all of the Rangers and fans including me. Go Rangers! Rangers for life. God Bless Texas!
The popping cracks you heard after the final out was not radio static. Those were Texas fan revelers outside firing off some fireworks near his house after the final out in celebration.
I can remember being a sort of Chicago Cubs fan, and in 2015, after a 107-year-long hiatus, they finally got their 3rd or so World Championship trophy. I was prepared for fireworks all over Chicago after that last out of that series, just like what that Texas Ranger fan you see experienced this year in 2023.
Hell yeah !!! I waited 42 years !!! His look is the same as mine and I was thinking ... is this true did this just happen and it finally sink in a couple min later that nelson Cruz wasnt there to f@ck it up and we finally got it!!!!!!

I’m 30. All my bud were together at bars and shit. I chose to watch it with my dad. Best decision ever :)

Cheers! This means so much
Nolan Ryan will join your late Father in heaven later time ⏲️.
That radio call was everything. Eric Nadel is one of the voices of my youth. My life flashed before my eyes. Congrats my Rangers brother.
Joe buck ruins everything
@@user-en6sf3yq8r Joe Buck wasn't on the TV call, Joe Davis was.
Holy shit, I commented before dad held up the phone with Eric Nadel calling the winning. That made this 10x more special. Shout out pops!

I’m a Braves fan but this melts my heart🥹
Still feels like a dream. Probably feel this way till the first pitch of opening day in 2024.
Finally! It is the Texas Rangers wins 🏆 the 2023 World Series 🌎 Title!

That’s ironic. The team is exactly 51 years old.

Jack, I've enjoyed everything on TH-cam, about the Rangers. Thank you, and Congratulations Texas Rangers ⚾👏🎉🏆

While the Nats haven’t been in DC as long as the Rangers in Texas, I know this feeling very well, and it’s a beautiful moment.
My dad is 55 and has been waiting his whole life too! Until now.
This quite literally is gonna be me when im 30 and the Mariners finally win a ws (im 17 right now)

Also, with Randy Johnson.😊⚾
