Do you ever use the Z-track method for subcutaneous injections? Or is Z-track ONLY IM?

Z-track is a method used for IM injections, to prevent the leakage of medication from the muscle into subcutaneous tissue.

Is aspiration no longer recommended on SQ injections anymore?

Aspiration is no longer recommended by the CDC as a standard of practice for reasons including the absence of large vessels in the deltoid area, increased pain, and lack of evidence in favor of the aspiration technique.
