Pt. Nayan Ghosh: Raag Jhinjhoti

The fifth chapter of the popular FEA-curated LEGACY series was an homage to the great sarod maestro and guru Pt. Buddhadev Dasgupta.
The featured artiste of the evening was Pt. Nayan Ghosh on sitar accompanied by Ishaan Ghosh on tabla. In this recital Nayan-da performed a number of gats in Raag Jhinjhoti composed by the masters Ustad Vilayat Khan, Ustad Ali Akbar Khan, Pt. Buddhadev Dasgupta as well as his own father Pt. Nikhil Ghosh.

Is it just me or the sitar's tone is jarring during fast taankaaris and jhalla?
Also, Ishan Ghosh is surely talented, but not yet ready to accompany top instrumentalists. He'll get there soon, I hope.
