    To see subtitles in other languages: Click on the gear symbol under the video, then click on "subtitles." Then select the language (You may need to scroll up and down to see all the languages available).
    --To change subtitle appearance: Scroll to the top of the language selection window and click "options." In the options window you can, for example, choose a different font color and background color, and set the "background opacity" to 100% to help make the subtitles more readable.
    --To turn the subtitles "on" or "off" altogether: Click the "CC" button under the video.
    --If you believe that the translation in the subtitles can be improved, please send me an email.

      Hi Eugene, nice vid as always ! Btw, what program (and what language) do you use to simulate physics ? Is it accurate enough to make some serious tests or is it just ok for an animation ? Thanks in advance !

    • @EugeneKhutoryansky
      @EugeneKhutoryansky  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I make my 3D animations with "Poser." Poser comes with a built-in simulator called "bullet physics", which is not very accurate. For my animations in this video, I used a simulator purchased separately called "Poser Physics." It is more accurate, but has certain limitations on what it is able to simulate. Thanks for the compliment about my video.

Also, I like how you repeat certain concepts and don't forget to mention them while creating a hypothetical situation, such as the concept that objects in motion on Earth slow down due to friction and air resistance. It is conservation of energy. The energy in air is a combination of static pressure energy and kinetic energy. If you force the air to go faster the kinetic energy increases at the expense of the static pressure, which reduces. It is called the Venturi effect, as captured in Bernoulli's equation. The shape of a subsonic wing is such that the distance that the air close to the wing has to travel over the top of the wing is greater than the distance the air has to travel close to the bottom of the wing. Thus this speeding up the air above the wing causes a reduction in pressure above the wing resulting in a net lift on the wing. This all assumes that air is relatively in-compressible at low speeds. A whole new story at high speeds where compressibility effects become large, resulting eventually in shock waves, as the speed of sound is approached.

    It's crazy how this video reached into the future and answered my questions from there so well. Just to check my understanding, the distance of a Satellite around earth, in order to achieve a stable orbit, would primarily be dictated by its forward momentum. ie. the faster it moves, the lower the required orbit. And just to add, the first law (given no atmosphere to provide resistance) means that once the required velocity has been reached, it will continue to follow that orbit without any further energy cost, pretty much indefinitely. Thx Eugene!

    Sometimes the music really enhances : Like I'm not a major fan of most classical music [don't love it or hate it, just depends], but a lot these videos, the classical stuff really complements it well, like the Fourier Series video , and the earlier circuits vids.
    Anyway, really useful concepts presented brilliantly. Thanks.
