Salaamun Alaykum to anybody reading this, I just had a couple of questions: First of all, when the Sheikh says “you repeat this four times” for the 2-rakat pairs prayed in the beginning, are we making a separate intention of “2-rakat Salat ul-Layl” for each pair? Or are we supposed to read the entire 8-rakat block as a single instance of al-Layl? Also, I heard that this is a good prayer to request your Hajaat from Allah during, but when would we ask for such things? Is there a specific Qunoot or period of silence during the prayer when we would be allowed to mention those things?
