Exciting times Nathan. Looks like you're going to be busy working through those crates. My first job would be some decent shelving... I'm looking forward to following your updates with the spares.
A man . I just watched your video . Just to let you know this bike ( or very similar useing many of the same parts is available in Eastern Europe /Balkans . Under the brand name Tekken 250 . The bike retails for just over €2,000 . So is very popular out there . There's a few videos of this bike online mainly from Africa . All the best mate keep doing the good stuff .... Regards mark 👍👍👍👍
Fab - coolest reveal video, usually these kind of things are so dull, with somehow opening a box - but wow, yes, sure looks exciting and terrifying in equal measure, wishing you well with that bonkers projects!
Two thoughts. First capture the data from cataloguing what you received within a spreadsheet so that data be manipulated into a database at a later stage. Second is it worth asking CCM if they have a inventory of the parts acquired in an electronic format and any electronic parts catalogue files which you can use? Could save some time. Thinking about like what Fowlers of Bristol have for the their parts web site, if acCM have any files like that, it would then make life easier identifying parts, part numbers, descriptions and how stuff fits together too. But an exciting and interesting project, it would fun sorting though it all. I imagine you could a few complete bikes out of what you’ve got🤔 the dessert sand panels might make a special “dessert rat” mT 230 special edition 😉
Nathan, GPX in Petersfield sell a range of bikes similar to this. They have an air cooled 250 that's 110kg. It's also got fuel injection, six speed box and great suspension. They offer two strokes as well.
Yeah, my prediction is that as you sit in your rocking chair on the porche in 40 years time you’ll be popping down to the post office once a month to despatch a spare part 😂
Great to see someone taking a chance If you need any help with building shelves, stock sorting or any general help Give me a shout and I will try to come down and help out Think this is going to do well
Blimey Nathan, there’s enough sorting to keep you busy through the winter there. It would be great to see some 230 desert colour builds and would make for some great videos - I like watching the guy from Jennie’s Garage YT channel tinkering with all the bikes he finds to get them up and running.
I met the can-am dealer that got a semi trailer load of spare parts from the factory after Bombardier decided to stop making motorcycles. There was one part that tended to wear quickly and he had calls from all over North America. One part sold out and a trailer load of junk.
I am contemplating buying a 230 myself, Nathan. A Kawasaki KLX230SM. As the name suggests, a supermoto. Two-valve, air-cooled single, not available in Europe due to the emissions stuff. Just for the roads around Chiang Rai. Nick
That’s absolutely awesome to see mate glad it’s gone well for you :) some exciting times there putting those together I know us ww2 peeps with wd bikes would love a parts cache like that. 😊
Yuve inadvertently set yourself up as main importer, distributor and parts supplier. Here's an idea you could do build a bike courses. The older build a bear generation of kids must be mobile by now🙂🙃
@@nathanthepostman Ooof, a pallet of fray bentos means i could hibernate for the winter and not dig the car out the snow once a week to go shopping. Do you think I could start a youtube channel for eating only fray bentos for 5 months? Could this lead to fame and fortune, or just an early heart attack?
I love your approach to life, Nathan.
Please, never lose your sense of optimism and adventure. You're an inspiration.
Best unboxing video ever! Should keep the bikes going for a while...
7min in... you hit the nail on the head.... build a dozen or so more bikes...😂😊

I'm up for a couple of lever sets Nathan? And some knobblies.
Excellent they've arrived, although a big task sorting it all. 👍

That’s great! Anyone who has bought a CCM230 is not going to be short of spares! I think you need a mechanic/storeman to sort that lot.. Les

Those sand colours look great. Could be ideal for a “Dorothys desert adventure”Another Devon Dakar maybe?
Thats going to keep you busy mate
Your life certainly couldn't be described as boring 😊
Fair play
