i have one like it . i put 8 inch rims from the rear of something (found them in a scrap pile) on front , cut outer bells off rear rims and fitted reversed 13 inch car rims/tires on back (they clear original fenders) . ran angle along "tunnel" under seat and mounted a plastic chicken coop with top removed for the lightweight bed . my pulley swapped "poorwheeler" goes about 15 mph . i ride around farm and trails about a mile every day .
I have a 93 just like it haven't done anything to it yet fixing to motor swap add a pushbar on front an pulley swap .In my opinion this is the best brand mower to build other than craftsman

Awesome, the early Murray model riding mowers are getting harder to find these days in good shape & I love them being they are so lightweight.
