I found a pub bench that a restaurant/bar was throwing out. Not damaged, nice wood, solid. It was sitting by the dumpster and the dumpster was in the middle of a parking lot that was behind the row of different businesses the restaurant was in, so right out in the open. The back is a little over 4 ft. high with a vinyl cushion (still in good shape, not cracked or anything). The seat length is kind of small, it seems like it's bigger than a one-seater, but not quite big enough for two. I was able to just fit it into the back of my car and drive it home. I managed to shuffle it in by myself. It's a very nice looking bench.
Only thing I've found was a plastic shade for our torchiere. There was one identical to ours in the dumpster, but the one in the dumpster was pretty much toast; however, the shade was in perfect shape. Since the cats had knocked our torchiere over and broken the shade, I just swapped the shades and now have a perfectly good torchiere again.
Seeing all those marbles brought back the memory of us kids playing "Pirates" way back in the 1960s. We all pooled our marble collections and buried them as our buried teeasure. Problem is, only one kid knew where the "x" was and he forgot! Somewhere, in that big backyard, is the resting place of HUNDREDS of marbles. One day, perhaps, an archeologist team will uncover that cache and believe they have found treasure.
Hopefully, like at the business I worked for the employees got to take it home. Some did, most didn't bother, first come, no greedy ones. Country, no homeless, except for animals, to take it. Awesome bread rolls! We appreciated it as much as the pay.
It takes me about a week to fill one medium-sized trash bag, thanks to a strict no-waste policy. Unbelievable the amount of food wasted! And all the rest of it... Jeepers!
I found a old Matchbox To The Rescue! playset in a dumpster & I still have it! its one of those in a box where you unfold it to show a whole city in it & made of that plastic coated cardboard stuff 0:37 I have one too! last year I got a single slice Toastmaster toaster from a garage sale I hate people whole throw out valuable old video gaming stuff I'd love to find old fast food signs someday Well one did when the original Burger King closed up I bought & later sold the sign I got cause I was moving ugh I like reselling stuff I find too
Finding food in the dumpster is good and all (you do you) but....didn't most of them had expiry or in the case of the person who saw a box full of ripe bananas INSIDE with germs and trash around?
Fair question, however, expiry date isn´t sometjhing set in stone. And they are always decided with a fair margin. It´s not as if the thing is programmed to expire on a certain day, just use smell and sight to decide the shape of the food. Very often it is very fresh. About germs, well, the bananas have peel that seals them ultra-hygienical. And if one worries about other groceries that are not in packaging, it´s just to rinse them. I´ve eaten a lot of saved food, never any harm.
Wowsers ❤❤❤❤❤❤
0:28 I can't stand it -- TOO perfect !!
Even though our town is small, all business dumpsters are padlocked. Can't even get cardboard boxes for moving, etc. Such a waste
What you need is a big cutter for padlocks. They exist!
7:55 😂 I’m crying right now! On the irony scale, how high is finding roaches trapped in little plastic bowls in a dumpster?

Sadly, in Germany food dumpsters are behind bars/shutters so nobody is able to save food.😩😩

Can't believe someone threw away that blue Fjall Raven Kankann (I spelled that horribly wrong) backpack! I have one and it was around 75-90 usd!
That’s not a dumpster party, that’s Pennywise 🎈
Pennywise & Oscar the Grouch are throwing a shindig!

@@peasinourthyme5722 Expiration and sell by dates are totally arbitrary. You can ignore them except for meat.
