Thankyou, your video is more in detail, I tried watching others and didn't feel there was much info. Thanks for explaining everything and especially showing the base part of the trimmer. I will buy one tonight.🎉
I think I've had this for 18 months, I can't find the instructions and your video helped me put it together (couldn't work out joining the handles because of the rubber bit) and the general operation. I've never used a strimmer before so I suspect my technique needs work but it worked nicely. I remember when I bought it the reviews said it was rubbish because the line it came with kept breaking it, someone recommended replacing the supplied strimmer with a thicker line so I bought one, but for this first outing I used the supplied strimmer and it was fine, even though it went up against rocks and some thick bay leaf stems. Thank you.
Thank you for taking the time to go through in detail... my instructions are missing... would you be able ( or have you done) loading/replacing wire please: that's where I burn each strimmer out... i think i've killed three so far...
Thanks for putting this video together, helped me a lot as I don't have the instructions. The old strimmers (trimmers?) you had to bang the base on the floor to advance the cord, but as you pointed out the little black button is used here. Thanks.
I cannot understand the instructions at all. Why can’t they send things already assembled. Thank god I found this or I would be sending the whole thing back.
Thank you for this video. I have an older model of this strimmer (It must be at least 15 years old, it was in the garage when I bought the house and it’s still going strong!) I of course don’t have the instructions and there isn’t a metal guard on my version. The black plastic guard has just fallen off, but after a good clean and watching your video I realised there was a hole and the screw had fallen out ..but this was easily fixed back with a new screw! No signs of wear on the cable on mine even though I hadn’t fixed the cable in the safety clip but will do now I know how! 🙏 The strimmer wire length does need to be kept inside the metal cutter (have had it fly out at me before too! Ouch!) …but the line lasts ages… in fact I think I’ve replaced it only about 3 times .. but a great little strimmer all in all! Good old Bosch! Hope yours lasts as long as mine has! 👍🏻Tina 😘
Thanks for the video. Sadly, I bought this to cut the edging around my lawn. The wire keeps breaking and I’ve yet to even cut a single blade of grass with it. Waste of money (for my purposes anyway).
Thanks for this review, I’ve only got a tiny lawn and thought the £30 price tag was too good to be true but your review has put my mind at ease that it’ll be perfect for what I need! Keep up the good work! 👍🏼
Thanks for the review! Although mine has an extremely short cable and have to use extension cord.. my first attempt and my garden is really good.. just need to check it in the morning though as I did it at night time 😂
Thanks for review as this were very cool and useful.. Towards the trimmer cartridge you can get the heavy duty metal 2 compatible diameter wires at Screwfix as the 280W is enough to do entire garden and nothing to compare with all acu trimmers available on the open market.
Hi. I understand that the cord is fed automatically, but I can't seem to make it work...any ideas? Also, the wire gets stuck on the reel sometimes and I have to rewind it so that it comes out straight. Anyone finding the same thing? Thanks Martin
Pull slightly on the cord and press the little button on the spindle. Every press lets a little of the cord out. Not sure why it’s getting stuck though but you can take the reel out and wind up properly before putting it back and feeding it through the hole.
The strimmer wire just breaks every couple of feet of strimming. Driving me nuts. Tried rewinding the wire a number of times in the spool to ensure not tangled but still keeps breaking
Thanks!
You’re a legend. Thank you buddy 🫡
Wonderful, thank you very much. The instructions (images) were really confusing and I spent two days agonizing about this before I found your video.
Thank you for this, I was really struggling with the included instructions, your video helped me out a lot.

Needed this review. I love watching reviews on stuff that I buy. I bought the 23, the smaller version. Haven't used it yet though lol

Thank you! Wish I'd watched this before using mine (without screwing the guard on!!😅)
top job, many thanks for the clear to follow assembly
You’re very welcome
Great video, thanks. I've just bought one from B&Q.
Enjoyed your video, well done
Dear, thanks for the detailed introduction, just a question, can a solid knife, circular, be mounted on it? Thanksss
Haha lol. Worth a shot! Make sure you're wearing full chainmail though when you test it. And a Helmet and Steel Toe Caps (or Crocks) :)
Really clear instructions..following 👌🏼

Hi sir thank you for the practical instruction teaching me how to use the machine 😅. My boss just buying for me 😂🙏 its helping me
thank you for helping me as well
Can you refill the spool with cheep wire or do you have to buy a whole new cartridge?
@@shuggiemcg1 I think you can pal. You can get stronger wire too I think

@@TonyTheakstone sadly it breaks when you strim anything but grass. Even your bare toes
Thanks. This helped! The instruction booklet is crap!
Glad I could help buddy
I have this one but have found the line breaks or wears very quickly thus you don’t get the optimal length of cutting line .
Works very well :)
Can u dissemble this for storage I can't get mine back down I wanted to store it but I can't take back down
I took mine apart fine. Not sure why you’re having an issue
Thank you, man!
Thank you very much, i was going to take it back to Wilkinson 😂and say something wrong with it hhhhh
Can anybody recommend a better line? The one it comes with is very fragile as mentioned in the video.
@@kotliboy not bought any yet but I think you can get stronger wire and wind it on the spool.
Thanks for the video. The instructions are awful so your help is greatly appreciated
👍💪
Спасибо за обзор!
Нет проблем, приятель. Спасибо за просмотр и комментарий
Top guide, the manual is thick like the bible.
It should be pointed out this is not suitable for edging grass as it’s fixed for horizontal use only and not vertical use like most strimmers can.
Great point mate. Thank you 🫡
Oh no! I bought this just to edge my lawn after using the mower 😮
@@uberscuba4796turn it upside down. not that I can get it to work for more than a foot at a time any way but I'm told that's the edging 'hack '
It doesn't go back down and this guy put it together in wrong order according to the instructions
😊
