Hopefully Omega is listening. And appreciate you are having fun preparing a release for us - your watch fans! Great video as always!
@@mhegerman1977 A vintage Rolex submariner is 40mm. IMHO, Omega should have looked to its vintage archive and resurrect a 39mm or 40mm case for this new 300M and a thinner movement and case. Again, this is my opinion. There are plenty of 300M styles already. No need to replicate it with this new one. Also vintage dress watches were typically 34 to 36mm.

I tried the blue one SMP bond non date in an AD yesterday om Berlin, I have to say perfect combination with the milanese bracelet. Great intro and video bro. Have a great weekend 🙏🏽
Awesome. Loved the intro IDGuy. I'm glad that the watches don't have a date complication. But I have to say that I like the wave pattern dial better on the previous release, such as on the seaweed green dial. Also, I like the mesh bracelet on the No Time To Die, but there should have also been an option for the 90s GoldenEye bracelet for these. Great video once again. And have a great weekend.
It adds a nice touch to the look, right? I'm just speculating here about the metal but considering the mesh bracelet with all of those fine links, I'm sure they'll need some substance behind them 😉 And to you as well Alvin! Have a super weekend! 🥃
What are our thoughts on the new steel pieces that arrived? I guess because we were expecting them and had a good idea of what they'd look like, kind took the wind out of our sails a bit? If only they'd played around with sizes and spiced them up a bit (imagine a 39 - 40mm?) 🥃
Timing is interesting. Will they have the production ramped up to support the Xmas season? If not then the timing seems like a miss. The watches will do well with the Omega fanboys. I still can’t get over the pimple of an HE valve and the underwhelming (for the price) bracelets.
Well, the script works! I scored the first white Speedmaster from my local AD. I don’t usually go retail price out of the box. But, when the product works, it works!
@ID-Guy I've been watching your videos since the very beginning of the channel, but I've never written here. I'm always waiting on your content and observation from design and passion for the watches point of view. Thanks for posting and keeping us informed. 🤙🏼
Great video, very accurate analysis. In my 4.5 years in the game as a watch collector and enthusiast, I collected a lot from MAMACOO I was thinking I was able to get a blue SD but I'm not vip enough, but I'm not giving up. Hehe. Great video.
got my 39mm with the white dial on the 3-link "Bader" bracelet watch on MAMACOO 3 weeks ago and am loving it to pieces. Absolute fantastic watch that wears super comfortable on my 6.75 inch wrist. Chose the 3-link over the 5-link bracelet for the toolless quick adjustment. Way more comfortable than my Longines Hydroconquest 41 mm.
Been watching your videos for a while now and was inspired to start a collection. Started with the AMZWATCH, its specs for price and clean looks, now am looking for a dress watch to add.
🎶"I've been searching for a heart of gold..." Ha, my dad used to play that on guitar when I was a teenager. I recognized it in the first bar. Anyway... I think I could get behind their bronze gold. I like the look of newer bronze, watches, but they age dark fairly quickly. I know that is by design, but in a watch I don't like it. Great video, thank you!

If you were looking at the NTTD or 60th Anniversary Bond... Congrats you now have a monochrome version for much less money ($10,000/$8300 vs $6500). No date 90s wave pattern Matte Lumed aluminum bezel Milanese bracelet
It’s thicker than NTTD, substantially. And it’s not titanium, so it’s heavier. Even with a nato; it’s heavier than NTTD with titanium Milanese. Just tried today in store. Overall, not the same at all as NTTD. 2nd hand NTTD still the best value IMO!
@@Calvindaydop it's 0.8mm thicker than NTTD and 0.5 thinner than 60th Anniversary. Yeah it's steel so it will be heavier than titanium but it doesn't have fauxtina lume which is a big turn off for many.
@@itsacookie1 sure, but I think these are quite different to the NTTD. Even including faux tina. Do have a look in person in store, and try it under different light. IMO, NTTD looks, feels and sized better
I agree with you the black one would've been a great opportunity to experiment with a smaller size. I have a big wrist and love my 45mm Fifty Fathoms, but for a more vintage & almost skin diver style that this watch is going for between the no-date, more muted dial, and milanese bracelet, 39-40mm and 12mm thick or less would've been such a better fit
The silver dial looks like the silver Railmaster dial. The bezel is like the Nekton’s. I dig it. I’d rock it on the Omega blue rubber strap. I actually like that they’re using Daniel Craig to show them to us. But maybe because he’s my favorite Bond and the SMP is the Bond watch to me.
I already have an SM300M that I'll not be moving on for one of these. I like that it no longer has the date, a cleaner look to me. The box sapphire glass is a tad at odds with a modern dive watch, something I've probably mentioned before on the Bond issues but and looks brilliant on the Speedy. This might be the cynic in me but I can't help feel that this might be one last boost for the current Seamaster before a complete update and that is something that I look forward to seeing. Thanks for sharing both IDGuys
Great video. I hadn’t seen anything relating to a possible Bronze SMP and I tend to keep up with Hodinkee, Monochrome, Fratello, YT etc so I wonder if the Craig/celebrity prototype grift is starting to wain. Love the renders. Won’t be buying.
I’d love to see the Bronze Gold seamaster on a nato with Bronze gold keepers like the new Time & Tide Aquaracer. (a Tag watch almost worth buying just for the strap). The new monochrome’s are fine all the details work but (for me) need a pop of colour.
Dude, you’re a regular Lex Fridman with that guitar! PS - I could swear that seamaster is rocking the very same bezel as was on the BP titanium Bathyscaphe.
Pre and Post Mr IDGuy gimme more, more of your chipping away and brushing the dust off. I just can’t get excited about the SeaMasters. They’re nice, but I’ve matured past this style now. The silver dial is my pic though… Much ❤, hope you’re well sir. 🍻
Oh dude, I missed your guitar playing man! Bronze gold huh... and I thought bronze fad has died down a few years ago... Like sure it's not bronze bronze, but you know? Also, I prefer that SMP with tropical dial more. That reminds me, remember regular speedy that had a tropical dial from the get go? What happened to that model anyway? It just disappeared, and it's never mentioned among WIS really.
Yet more divers from Omega that are still a bit big with comically sized markers & daft hands, HEV wart, poor bezel actions & still no tapered & adjustable oyster bracelets on par with Rolex.
Man, my watch obsession has morphed into obsessing about getting a Ford Focus ST170 ha ha and I will do it next year and just wear my Harold Pinchbeck George and Casios... no way in h3ll I'm getting anything like these new Omegas.... the colours are pretty though. Like the original first gold Speedy...I do like it, but you know my feelings about modern Seamasters.... chunky monkeys and expensive. Prefer their older stuff
Well done to both you in the past and you in the present! I guess I am the only one on the planet who finds the barnacle helium escape valve a non-starter. First, I’m not a mixed gas diver. Secondly, I can’t understand the purpose when other deep sea watches have simple valves that are only slightly visible on the case. Beats me. I own a 1940s small second Omega and I suspect that is probably the only Omega I will own. I’m sure the Titanium Seamaster wears beautifully and the new mixed metal watch will wear beautifully as well, so Omega will sell every one they can make no matter the price or the slightly eccentric design.
You’re SO right boet, the way that Omega has been releasing new models recently by having Daniel Craig wear one at a high profile event is just getting SO repetitive! No real marketing strategy involved. No adverts, magazine info or printed promotion or photos. Just a subtle flash on the wrist from an actor who isn’t going to play James Bond anymore albeit is an Omega enthusiast supposedly. As for the Watches themselves, the brushed dial with the metal bezel looks the nicest I think. Very akin to a Yacht-Master but, that again grates me. Why do a brand as great as Omega need to try and copy a Rolex model? Surely it’s time to ditch the SMP300m and for Omega to offer us a fresh and original model? Now that I really would love to see. The use of the burgundy bezel in the Bronze / Gold model looks really nice and I’m a fan of the Milanese straps instead of that horrible five link SMP300m bracelet (although many owners tell me it is one of the most comfortable bracelets they have tried). I just was never drawn to the SMP300m and it’s MANY iterations. As I say, I feel it’s time to bury the Watch and create a new Watch that is totally different. I love the Planet Ocean’s and the Seamaster Heritage, the Spectre edition was great too. Omega should be taking inspiration from those models as well as the 165.024 that Omega fans all love I feel. Anyway, rant over boet 😂 Another great video and PLEASE keep the musical introductions up! Neil Young would be proud of you. You have a ‘Heart of Gold’ ✊
As a watch enthusiast with NO budget, thank you MAMACOO for great-looking mechanical watches that I can afford! their are very clean, classy look, $150 each. I still watch videos about expensive “proper” watches, but I enjoy what I have
I've never felt attracted to tool watches made from precious metal. It goes against my functionalist approach to watches in general. I'd rather see more exploration around different sizes, bezels, hand shapes, etc but keep it steel or titanium.
The mesh bracelet feels a bit mismatched, with an uncomfortable clasp that offers no micro-adjustment. I’d opt for the rubber strap when the blue variant inevitably drops.
They should’ve made curved end links on those mesh bracelets. It looks so much more upscale than that big space that happens without the curved and links. When there’s a leather strap, the leather usually takes care of that gap or mostly. I love match bracelets, but they should be fitted to the watch better.
So would you go Black dial, No Time To Die, 60th Anniversary or the new Bronze? Or rank order them. I spent time with the NTTD and 60th last night and really can’t decide which I’d go with
My number one if I had a choice? Purely for day-to-day wear? The Bond 60th. That could blue is SPECTACULAR. If only the prices were a touch more reasonable... for the novelty factor, kinda dig the NTTD, but the faux patina puts me off a bit. So the Black dial is the safer bet (and more affordable) 😉...still, I'd chase the 60th purely for that colour and lollipop hand....
@ yeah, I was feeling the same way. There would be no question if the NTTD didn’t exist but it tempts me purely from how light it is. I have a lot of black watches and the Blue of the 60th is awesome.
The watch is beautiful. The bezel looks variegated in the photo - tropical. Not sure what that will translate to in person. See will be believing. I look forward to it.
It was a few months between the prior Craig leaks and the official releases so I figure the “omega bronzo” will be official in a few months. I was also told a titanium moon watch would come (maybe speedy Tuesday in January 2025…before the “bronzo” release?).
Big fan of the black dial. More progress in Omega's return to class. SMP works well in 42 - the proportions are good (though it is big). Runout special to get us used to a new direction for the watch when it gets a revamp (maybe a mid-size variant at ~38 and the large at 41mm)? But gotta say, while I like a 39mm '50s style skin diver, I'm not convinced by a 40mm SMP - it's a very different thing to a Sub or a 300. We need to get over this idea that watch size is absolute (and every watch should be the size du jour) - it's not, it's very much design and proportion dependent! The irony is that everyone loved the look of this watch on Craig's wrist, then when they heard it was 42, started hating... DC is not a very big guy and the watch at 42 looks great.
I'm going to go with bronze gold since that is what Robert-Jan Boer, from Fratello Watches, commented on in the article for the latest SMP release. I imagine his close relationship with Omega might provide him with some insight. I also hope the dial for this is black. I love the contrast myself. I have the Tudor Black Bay 58 Bronze and this looks very similar and I really enjoy the warm tones from that watch.
I was told a bronze gold seamaster professional on bracelet was coming soon. It was on the month the 2nd edition FOIS came into boutiques. The big question will be how much will it cost. I’d go for it at $15,000 US but not if it’s much more than that. My seamaster 300 bronze gold has no significant patina (and it’s been in the Pacific Ocean a few times).
The Omega Seamaster Chronometer in bronze appears to be a reiteration of the existing model, rather than offering significant innovation. It may be perceived as a commercial strategy to capitalize on the popularity of the original watch.
I was interested to get the brushed grey version.... until I saw the price... more expensive than the normal dated ones.... uh.... what were you thinking Omega??
To me, gold seems really out of place on a dive watch, whereas bronze looks more workmanlike and actually is harder. It also reminds me of the early diving suits, pre-scuba. I very much like your brownish colour scheme. I think the mesh looks too flimsy, but could look really great if the 300m Diver ever became finer and more dressy.
That’s how you do an intro boykie! Your renders are awesome I love them. The steel offerings are uninspiring And m sorry but the craigster doesn’t look good these days. Yellow tinted glasses? Long hair? No please. Omega come on
Is that Neil Young playing the guitar? Great video. I love seamasters and the Brozo would be to die for. Would the meash bracelet be coated? My bronze watches leave green on my wrist. If not, who cares. A small price for such a look.
From what I've learnt about Bronze Gold, they really have nailed the alloy. Apparently there is no "smell" to it and the only real oxidation turns it more matte and a touch browner. Kinda like how a typical 9k gold piece of jewellery would go over time, y'know? I've been looking very hard at one of their Seamaster 300's (that I featured in the video) in the metal... price is amazing and I'm wondering if it's worth giving it a try. And knowing Omega of today? The mesh bracelet will be solid 😉
The move in the no-date direction is a good one, as is toning down (at least at first glance) the wave elements on the dial. Not really bothered that much about the aluminum vs ceramic debate, but a matte look is generally a bit cleaner and more subtle. Still not at all a fan of the font on the bezel or the scalloped design that makes it harder to turn than a coin edged version. I think if they tweaked that and had a quick release bracelet, they'd have a real winner on their hands.
Lovely opening music well played. And a great episode. Thanks
Agree. 👏
Please include some more of your "golden" guitar playing, sir!

I actually like the Bronzo Seamaster design...
As a watch enthusiast with NO budget, thank you MAMACOO for great-looking mechanical watches that I can afford! their are very clean, classy look, $150 each. I still watch videos about expensive “proper” watches, but I enjoy what I have
I want to live
I want to give
I've been a minor
For a heart of gold . Bravo 👏
And I'm getting old .

MAMACOO is a must for me as a watch collector
As always a very interesting video
The thickness actually increased.. strange really
I had no idea... so one step forward and about three steps back 😆
I think it's due to the new shape of the crystal. More domed, like the fois.
The multi-talented!!
It can also be the Bronze… James Bronze.
It’s no time to dive 😊
I've never felt attracted to tool watches made from precious metal. It goes against my functionalist approach to watches in general. I'd rather see more exploration around different sizes, bezels, hand shapes, etc but keep it steel or titanium.
You play guitar? Very well too!
I’m still a novice (in my head) 😉 Thank you brother 🥃
The black Seamaster would have looked incredible withe the black dial from the new black Aqua Terra……jm2c
I’ve got the Pagani version.
It’s blooming brilliant - and I’ve got so much spare cash floating about now 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Without the original there would be no Pagani. So suck up the smugness.
The mesh bracelet feels a bit mismatched, with an uncomfortable clasp that offers no micro-adjustment. I’d opt for the rubber strap when the blue variant inevitably drops.
To be fair... Your content is really interesting man! You should be at Rolex or Omega ...
Hinting
James Bronzed.... I'll get my coat
@ this black Seamaster in titanium would be an almost instant buy for me.
Guitar sounds amazing brother.
JUST 👏 MAKE IT 👏 SMALLER 👏
Nailed it 🥃
It is actually thicker than the ceramic seamaster …
I was told a bronze gold seamaster professional on bracelet was coming soon. It was on the month the 2nd edition FOIS came into boutiques. The big question will be how much will it cost. I’d go for it at $15,000 US but not if it’s much more than that. My seamaster 300 bronze gold has no significant patina (and it’s been in the Pacific Ocean a few times).
still hoping for a burgundy seamaster 300 on burgundy rubber strap + dial...
Youre not wrong, if they did a midsized 40mm of the regular model that would be pretty exceptional.
That’s how you do an intro boykie!
Your renders are awesome I love them.
The steel offerings are uninspiring
And m sorry but the craigster doesn’t look good these days.
I'm sure somebody could do a colour comparison with his wedding ring, that won't change even though lighting conditions do.
