Milton Keynes Red Balloon Advert - The Story of the Red Balloon

In 1983, the Milton Keynes Development Corporation commissioned the making of an advert to attract people to move to the new town. The Red Balloon advert aired on British television in 1984. 34 years on, the star of the advert, Mark Bates returns to Milton Keynes for the first time. This video follows Mark as he revisits the filming locations and reflects on the recent 'tribute' which premiered on May 3rd, LoveMK Day.
