- Preliminary information from Rochester Hills, Michigan shows at least six people have been shot, some believed to be children. Early reports say the shooting happened at the Brooklands Splashpad, shortly after 5 p.m., local time. The shooter is still at large as of 6 p.m., ET
.

American society is broken, people mainly care about money, vacations, the latest gadgets, both work to be able to buy those things and they neglect their children, also the suburbs are designed for the car, to not create social cohesion, nobody knows anybody and thus they see them as easy to shoot, that and more, but nobody is willing to acknowledge this or any other cause, but boy is every happy to be saying "America is the greatest country"
Nobody blames the gun they're just saying the gun is what made it possible. Some things are just too dangerous to have in society. Doesn't matter that it's an object. It's ability to kill easily is why people don't like it.
Now people hear about knives being used more than guns. It's ppl that have lost their minds and don't care anymore but kill and hurt children and families
It's the system's fault for being corrupt and frankly handing out guns left and right to people who have no business owning one

@Carolina-gz8ug Recent reports indicate 1 in 5 have some degree of mental illness as is evidenced by the number of homeless, and drug addicted, as well higher functioning individuals being treated by various means. That is the problem. How they choose to manifest their problems is a matter of what's at hand. Had they no firearm, it would have been a knife, a vehicle, or any number of improvised weapons, possibly with deadlier results.

Bet the shooter is well- know to police, has been arrested previously, and odds are 50/50 or better they're out on bond and awaiting a trial on a previous charge. Hope I'm wrong, but doubt it.

Terrible, a little surprised there's not much description of the shooter, white male, black male, etc.? Maybe police are withholding that for some information. Also not much news on the seriousness of the injuries. I understand them thinking it's random, but there's probably some evil motive behind this shooter's actions.
