      TPI is great and really helps you understand what your body does and how it relates to your swing. No guess work.

    First of all, this is another excellent P&A video. I'm going to incorporate this upper and lower body separation training into my daily routine immediately. I bought a gizmo called TMISIG, The Most Important Stretch in Golf Gizmo. Buy one; you will not regret it. The crux of the golf swing is right there at 10:00/14:48 when Piers says, "You're not going to be able to do that." I had a lame brained golf instructor who kept trying to "coach me into the full turn, left arm straight. right elbow pointing down at the ground position. I physically couldn't do it while I worked with him. Now, I can - thanks to that stretching tool. I wish that dummy who took my money had known about this TPI stuff and that TMISIG gizmo. My point is that I've had a lot of golf instructors none of whom ever tested my flexibility and mobility. All they were concerned with is that I direct some of my disposable income their way. Stick with P&A and the TPI. Most importantly, lose the jackass who just stands there and watches you swing, while saying, "That's better." By the way, Meandmygolf followers should look at the way both guys look after working out at the TPI. They have changed their body types and their swings look lots better. This stuff must work.

    Interesting stuff chaps - I suspect this is an area overlooked by many club members and recreational players. Having just tried a couple of the tests, seems that physically my hips aren't capable of doing what they are required to (and I would class myself as being in pretty good shape!!) so definitely looking forward to part 2. Once again, informative stuff from you guys - keep up the good work!

      Most people aren't aware of the important things required for the golf swing and TPI really help you understand what you can physically do and relate it to your golf swing.

    Great insight fellas. Thank you for bringing it to us, the public who don't have the same opportunities. So glad of the mention of early extension. My age old problem may well be a pelvic one. Just off to get the Mrs thoughts on that..... Keep up the good work guys!

    Making golf fitness way more complicated than it is! flexability, power ( speed and strength) and stability and rotational power is what golf involves so just base a routine round these things and good to go depending on the individual. good to bring fitness into thoughts of other golfers thou.

    • @meandmygolf.
      @meandmygolf.  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      TPI is very simple and really helps identify what you can physically do. Fitness is not for everyone but if you are interested in it then we would strongly recommend seeing a TPI certified golf fitness instructor.

    Dave is a genius ! Have been following tpi for a while now and am really impressed . I have problems in my upper t-spine and specifically in my right shoulder which makes it very difficult to get my hands high in the backswing ! Any advice ? Am only using a foam roller at the moment !!

    • @meandmygolf.
      @meandmygolf.  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Richard. Yes Dave is great. Can we ask why are you trying to get your hands higher. What are you trying to correct or improve?

    • @richardgaule9415
      @richardgaule9415 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      At the top of my backswing, my left arm plane is too flat. I'm trying to get a greater gap between the shaft and my head at the top as at present there is very little room. I'm not physically able to make the changes due to the restrictions in my t-spine
      You posted a video a year or so ago about being able to lift your lower arms parallel to your body when perpendicular at your side and I find it hard to get my right arm past 70-75*.
      Hope you can help ! Thanks
      Ps
      I'd love to see you guy do a Turkish get up challenge !!
