Hey guys! Just wanted to tell you guys that I’ve started a Patreon account and for only 1 dollar you will get access to the songs: Nightwish the greatest show on earth, babymetal uki uki midnight, Iron Maiden edge of darkness and alsomwtallica pulling teeth live! Besides these songs there are also more in depth discussions on the songs that we are doing on this channel on Patreon. Mostly talking about the lyrics and what I’m thinking about them. Another reward is also that you can get your suggestions chosen before other people on TH-cam if you chose to support me on Patreon and there will also be full length reactions to the attack on Titan videos and early reactions to them as well! so there is a lot of cool stuff there so please check it out!😊
Su-metal is very good at Power Ballard. Privately she had been sing many genre songs with her elder sister Himetan over three hours (over 100 songs) at Karaoke Room.
For one of their songs with a really good breakdown try Megitsune - there is a breakdown in that with a really heavy version of an old Japanese folk song (Sakura Sakura). On the question of Su's voice I think the main point people were trying to make was that, contrary to what your sister was saying, she never uses autotune or playback (playback is used in a couple of very obvious parts in a couple of songs) and there is minimal or no post-production needed on her voice for DVDs etc on live performances. It is the power and clarity of Su's voice that makes her exceptional. I doubt there are any 'average J-pop singers' who could even make themselves heard above or through the music of the Kami Band, who (as I said before) were told not to hold back in any way and to ignore the fact that the girls were both idols and girls.
About the last video: honest is good, don't worry to much about it. :-) Yep, Babymetal songs are very diverse. You'll be surprised more often I'm certain. The ending of the song is abrupt indeed. Some think maybe they have a song that connects with it on the album that still needs to be released. If you go to Japan, try to go to a Babymetal show, will not disappoint. ;-) Looking forward to other Babymetal reactions. I think Ijime,Dame,Zettai at Sonisphere,UK 2014 on their official channel is a great choice. You mentioned you knew a bit about Babymetal in the previous video ? Have you seen Karate Live yet ? There is a video of Babymetal Karate at Download UK.
Great reaction. It maybe a bit early for you to fall into the many levels of the BabyMetal “Fox Hole”.I found it so fascinating I can’t wait to share it with people like yourself. BabyMetal was formed in a Idol Group called Sakura Gakuin (Cherry Blossom Academy) a School themed Idol Group that has classroom skits and competes or performs in the Tokyo Idol Festival. This video has a Middle School Sumetal and elementary Moa and Yui. SuMetal’s friend from her former group Karen Girl’s( Oops another level of the BabyMetal Fox Hole) Ayami blows a kiss in this video. Little Moa and Yui have quick solos and hold hands for a second until two girls separate them. This is a totally different kind of music. I hope you enjoy the trip down to this level of the BabyMetal Fox Hole. th-cam.com/video/FbId5Fkq-eI/w-d-xo.html
Please do Metallica's "Dream No More" from their new album! It's the heaviest song from that album and James does a cool octave melody with his vocals during the verses. Overall it's such a heavy and groovy song.
I'm not sure why Su uses a deadpan delivery to sing the "Can't stop the power" part. I'm not sure if she is the dark one and means you can't stop her power or if she is saying she can't stop their power, but either way, the bored style of singing it doesn't seem to fit. But I like the way it sounds anyway.
Can you react to Lovebites - The Crusade th-cam.com/video/ueKyQ4xI-mY/w-d-xo.html Lovebites have only been around for about 2 years and are starting to make waves in the metal scene. This year they won Kerrangs best new band (Babymetal being the only other Japanese band to win this), they are also playing Bloodstock and Wacken this year. The Crusade is a love song to 80's powermetal.
The song has grown on me since its release, but to me it's still one of their worse songs. It really needs some sort of breakdown in the middle. To give you a better picture of Su's vocals I'd recommend watching Akatsuki (th-cam.com/video/FSB5qR3FK94/w-d-xo.html) or Rondo of Nightmares (th-cam.com/video/QxYAcIyk2Co/w-d-xo.html). Although she has matured a lot since then (2014), these are good versions and the songs are better suited to concentrate on her vocals.
Definitely not their best work. Repetitive, hard transitions that don't fit well together and as you noted, lost opportunity for a breakdown...so most feel like this piece was rushed -hurriedly put together- (or they took someones awesome song and chopped it up into this). They had 2 years to come up with new music and this is what they gave us. Sad.
watcher2554 I can agree with you that it’s not the greatest song ever. Especially after listening a bit more to it. The mixing is a bit odd actually. With the synthesizers being too high up in the mix and the same goes for the drums. The guitars was also hard to hear in this one..

Due to copyright I added a link to the music in the description. If you time the music with my video it makes more sense.

Didn’t pick up on that while I was listening to it though the first time. Did think however that Suzakus voice fit quite nice in the chorus
